Hello again,
long time no post.
First thing is that I havent lost any weight ; for goodness sake, I just need to lose one stupid stone, how hard can it be to just eat less & move more :wall:
I now have new bike in my sights, I dont want DD1 s bike back - it hurtsbut have seen one for about £100 so have decided that it is almost a necessity.
No news yet about the Virgin CC, but did have a letter from Barclaycard to say that they are gong to convert my card inot a cashback one ... I got all excited until I read the bit about there being a list of all the 'participating' places I could get cashback ... yawn
DD1 came over the other evening bearing a fabulous gift of a moneypot. It's purple & decorated with loads of different painted shoes & sparkly bits :heartpuls & says 'Shoe Fund' on it. I've transferred all my £2 coins ino there & couldnt help counting them on the way ... £46 so far. I'm now determined to fill it up rather than just wait until the end of the year.
Last night I topped up my karma by helping out at DDs club & was rewarded this morning by having family on the phone before 9am .
We then went to do a bit of top up shopping at waitrose & I spent rather a lot; £28 . Cheese is expensive, & so are bin bags, fresh fruit & veg, but I dont care. I've received £3 in Tatco clubcard vouchers which will be used to fill up my car. I'm still waiting to hear about my Council Tax rebate but my Dad has been sorting out my Grandmothers' & it turns out that she's overpaid for the last 6 years  She probably wont have to any at all this year
.
I'm still alcohol free & finding it rather tedious now, just wish that losing weight was so easily achievable. I'm maintaining my frugality too & havent been near any clothes shops at all this week.
I've had another 2 NSDs so only need another 2 to hit my target now & hope to have one tomorrow.
I've paid for school milk for next term & need to make payment to CC2 on monday, will update again then
bye for now

Sorry I havent been around Lula - I was away sunning myself last week and this week I have paid for it with a nasty lurgy:mad: For someone who is always rushing about I didnt do much last week..went to bed at 9pm on Monday and got up at 6.30am went to bed again at midday and woke up 3hrs later and went to bed at 7pm on Tuesday and didnt get up til Wednesday morning:eek: I acquired the lurgy on the plane home and when I got off felt very faint and had to ask a chap to drag my suitcase off the conveyor because I was convinced that if I bent down that I would flake out:eek:
Am feeling a bit miffed as my starter veg kit hasnt arrived from the RHS (a freebie) but I did have a new Lakeland catalogue today and got a free packet of mixed lettuce leaves with it:cool: Had to use the eshopping system on Friday because I had no food in the house so had to use Sainsbury's as they could deliver today - must remember next time not to ask for a substituted item.
I need to unpack my suitcase and sort out another form for the council for my housing benefit, need also to re-apply for working tax credits but cannot do that until next month but things are starting to look up on the work front...hopefully this year will be a better year and I start earning some money.
Must clear out greenhouse (I have a plastic one on the balcony) and empty out my windowboxes and replace the compost so that i can start growing veg and maybe some strawberries as I have seeds for alpine plants. Also need to tidy my bedroom and my office and the living room and maybe the kitchen..I have been such a lazy mare:eek:
Don't beat yourself up - losing weight is hard especially in winter when we stock up with comfort food. Get some earplugs to drown out the noise of the screamer downstairs too - flippin' parents shouldnt have them if they can't look after them..humph.0 -
Hello H & welcome back,
your holiday sounds vrey succesful, but shame you collected a lurgy on the way home. Hopefully you wont have to slum it with other passengers when you're business 'takes off' (ha ha, excuse the pun) you'll be able to hire your own personal pilot & plane
Well, here in Lulaville, things are progressing nicely. This morning we went to the allotment to plant new fruit trees; apple, pear, plum & cherryWe also have plans to invest in some serious equipment to construct a new fruit cage, our current one is a bit small & tatty. I'm glad we went today as I was starting to feel rather disassociated from it & had all sorts of crazy ideas to go it alone  being there has renewed my interest for it & all the like minded peeps there too
.
There's much hard work to be done as one of our members is still recuperating after an opbut as she happily took on my share of the work when I was committed elsewehere, I am more than happy to return the favour until the situation changes.
Being that this is the time of Ostara, Spring Equinox & we have waxing moon I am confident that our fruit trees will flourish.
We visited my grandmother this afternoon, she is well at the moment & enjoyed the cakes we took along.
It's been a NSD all day & I have resisted both the Faith sale & the Body shop one too :jthis frugality is becoming almost painless now.
Once DD had gone to bed I finished the ironing, cleaned the kitchen & washed the floors. I'll have to hoover tomorrow & again on wednesday but toher than that my chores are done until friday
I've checked the bank balance & all direct debits due out this week & paid another £50 off CC2 so that balance is now down to £750 & the total debt is at £4500.
Hope to hear from Mr. Branson this week ... & that monday treats you all well
bye for now

Fabulous news on your debt figure. That is really coming down well.
I'm being frugal but not finding it painless. I get the Brandalley emails and found they had a sale on LSA International glassware. Put 6 wine glasses, 6 tumblers and a lovely glass jug (perfect for Pimms) into the basket but it came to £60 with postage and very very reluctantly closed it down. Have to keep telling myself that there will be other bargains in the future......I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
:j Finally all caught up!
I've stopped opening emails that promise me all sorts of sale goodies - it makes me too sad. And would inevitably lead me to having to declare more on your clothes challengs - and we can't be having that!
Really need to start photographing some of my ebay stuff - been putting off and therefore couldn't make use of their free listing days (unless I'd woken up for of magical, manical energy!)Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Shoe Gal - I'd feel bereft! I need to know when it's happening - both so I can psyche myself up but also so I can warn my virtual friends I haven't gone awol!
I don't like it when it's some kind of technical thing that's going on! (Probably because I'm secretly worried I've pressed the invisible implode button on the computer!)
