    Back again :p

Well, the title says it all; DD & I have been practising alliteration & I've had my last slurp of sloe gin which is so delicious I just cannot describe with words.

Trouble is it doesnt taste alcoholic in the way that Gordon does so its way to easy to just slurp away  & next thing you know I'm having to retype the whole paragraph because yet again my fingers cannot keep up with my thoughts.

Had a lovely time with my grandmother who now seems quite well again :j & although a bit forgetful at times, otherwise in fine form. She has lovely carers coming in to help her with various things & it seems to be working well & keeping her mentally stimulated too. She loved the new boingy pillows & said the rock cakes & hobnobs were delicious too. That's real praise as she was a true Old Styler with a fruit & vetable garden & there was always something delicous cooking in her kitchen :D.

Popped round to check on Dad s house on the way home too as he's away & all was fine there. Took the car for a little swim on a flooded road but it didnt seem to clean much of the dirt off :undecided.

Popped into the co op on the way home to get more buttery stuff while still on offer (87p each tub :D) also grabbed a bag of reduced hot cross buns for 50p, soe cracker & rolls for supper. I had an ovewhelming urge to make more leek & potato soup & it turned out really well & a decent colour too thanks to having white onions. Another £3.56 spent on groceries & only £57.55 left.

Checked & double checked all the direct debits & standing orders ( have reinstated the rent one as of this week) & calculated that I had enough to pay another £50 to Barclaycard - replacing the £50 that has got temporarily 'lost' :o.

    Barclaycard - CC1 - balance is now : £3,850
    Co Op card - CC2 - balance is now : £ 800

    Total Debt now £ 4650

It really is going down :j & according to Snowball, if I continue with same level of payments then it'll be under £3,000 by July at which point I'll look around for a new deal to balance transfer to. It will be a year since I took out the Co Op CC & with much less debt than year ago & a faultless repayment history I'm hoping for something good :D.

So, no alcohol in March _pale_ & some serious weight loss required. Not a single pound lost in Februrary so should be making up for that by losing 10lbs ... :rotfl:

    Ever the optimist ;)

    night night
    xx

Thank goodness for it being March & sunny today :)

    Work was 'interesting'.

Just Grumpy & myself in the office this morning & we got on brilliantly; back to the usual chat & banter. The other 2 peeps in our office arrived at lunch time & immediately the atmosphere changed .

    It's been a NSD & I am to receive £ 2.55 from Quidco :D.

No money back from the CLOSED Crapital One Account :(. thought I'db etter call & was very surprised when all the security info I used to give still worked. The balance-giving voice told me that I had £50 in my account & £3000 to spend. What ? I have £3,000 avaialable to spend from my 'closed account '. Finally got through to 'Pauline' who assured me that she would send my £50 back to my bank account but that it would take 7 - 10 working days .

I will not make that kind of mistake again .

I've made a mistake too, and am totally embarrassed but....

I did a balance transfer and have transferred more than I needed too, so I have been charged 2.98% on £700 when I only had £500 to transferr :o

I don't know what's going to happen and I am too embarrassed to ring up so just going to wait until the transactions are up to date and go from there.

ETA... I was totally sober at the time so no excuses for me!

    Thanks..me too!!

I'd hoped they couldn't transfer that much if I didn't have that on my card but it's showing up on my virgin as £700. Nothing on halifax yet though which is the card that only has £500 on.
