Happy cleaning Lula! I love it. Just ironed my duvet cover and done a bit of bleaching. I am turning into my mother!

Ugh, just lost entire post

Had logged on here about an hour ago then DD1 called to ask if I could do her online Tatco shop for her . It took an hour but mostly because I was being picky . I am really impressed with her at the moment. Apart from doing extra shifts at work she's nly spending about £65 on her shopping for the month & has refused a holiday with her friend -She also has over £300 saved towards a car :T *feels proud *

We have planned a cheap shopping trip for next friday as both off work :D.

Anyway back to ME ME ME :rotfl:

Hello & welcome to new Quest Guest : niccatw :hello: you definitely need to learn about hobnobs ... got to 'old style money saving' board & type in Twinks hobnobs - they will transform your life & waistline forever :o ... this is why I only ever make them for my grandmother now.

DD & I have done a food supplies inventory tonight as I am determined to make it to next friday on the £1.62 I have left of my budget.

With careful planning & only getting reduced bread we can make it :D. I remembered that I had bought a 2 pint container of milk on the way to work last week & put it in the freezer there, so liberated that this afternoon & now think we have enough to get through the week. Low on fruit - have 2 spotty bananas that need to be eaten over the weekend, 3 apples & a few grapes ( all late middle aged but in fridge so just hanging on despite ancient use-by date ;)) Can make apples into crumble if necessary.

Will make some flabjacks tomorrow for DDs lunch box as we're out of savoury snacks & also sweet treats too.

DD knows that I do have plenty of cash to buy food in reality but thinks it's a fun game to play for the week.

... * wow, that single person lying down toboggan run looks fun :D* ...

It's been NSD 13 here so only 2 more to hit target & I dont plan on spending all weekend. Tomorrow will be a cleaning & decluttering day & maybe a trip to the library too ;)

In light of my new improved salary I've had another council tax bill- still have £59 to pay :(. I asked about chaing my rent payment to monthly rather than weekly & was advised to wait until April - after the increase - but did discover that I am £160 in credit so wont pay any next week 7 will use it to pay towards CCs instead.

It seems that credit is now starting to flow again; I had an offer for a card with 0 % purchases for 3 months followed by a a sickening 29.9% apr . These short term 0 % interest offers are the worst kind of trap so I feel compelled to reply to their offer in the pre paid envelope; something along the lines of " I would rather slit my throat, reach down inside, extract & then eat my own liver before accepting your invitation" :p.

Havent updated the clothes Challenge this week :o so must to do that over the weekend alongside working on new budget for the next month & washing, ironing, tidying & cleaning & visiting relatives ...

Naughty Lula has 'done' a whole bottle of Jacaranda this week :o so probably wont be getting up as early as planned ...

Will be back again soon ...

    night night

Morning all & thanks Moo :D

I have indeed put all their paperwork back in the envelope - after carefully bisecting it with my scissors first - & just to show that I'm not completely evil & twisted I also popped in a flyer from a nearby chinese takeaway ... even vultures have to eat :rotfl:

It's a gloriously sunny day here so all the windows are open, the beds are stripped & airing, I've reintroduced the hoover to the rugs & am working my way through the washing pile - hoping to line dry :j

Just had my coffee & crusts for breakfast - Moo & niccatw GO EAT NOW you naughty pair :naughty:

DD has suddenly decided that she is grown up so can fling out all the soft toys ... not sure whether these can be ebayed ... then it all came to an abrupt halt when she realised that her favourite bear (Laura Pashmora) didnt have any knickers so she's now in the process of [STRIKE]making more mess[/STRIKE] creating some :undecided

Washing machine now finished so best get on & then tackle the bathroom _pale_ I may be some time ...

Don't let her throw all the toys away - she will regret it! I still have a toy that I have had since I was 9 weeks old :o

Have to agree with Shoe Gal - I've still got all my soft toys, OK they're in a box in the loft but it brought back some lovely memories when I moved house & spent some time going through the box :)

 cant believe that, another post just disappeared, for no reason

Anyway, fear not Shoe Gal & Inky; DD had already put aside the toys she wanted to keep that were gifts from family or she'd had since birth :D. The rest she wants to give to an organization or charity that is helping the people of Haiti, cant argue with that :A.

Other news; it's been yet another NSD here :) I have washed, hung out, swept, hoovered, mopped, cleaned, scrubbed, polished & ironed all last weeks stuff that was still in the airing cupboard :o as well as all today's ironing. I have aired the beds, put clean bedding on & cant wait to get into that gorgeous bed now that I'm also clean top to toe.

    I've also put together 5 different meals from what we have in the cupboards & although it's pretty boring meals, we will still eat well;

    Quorn mince bolognese,
Quorn chunks with creamy mushroom sauce & rice & veg,
    Chicken Tikka Masala with rice
Fish cakes with fries & steamed veg ( DD dreading that one :()
    Pasta with tomato bake sauce

We also have a spare tin of baked beans & I have some rather odd looking potatoes ( greenish & sprouty) that I am going to transform inot a corn chowder along with the onions & sweetcorn we have.

We have enough drinks, frubes, crackers & now flabjacks ( not a fan myself) to go in DDs lunch box & will spend some of the £1.60 on bananas.

We also have half a box of cereal, spare pasta & sauce, loads of various hot & cold drinks, more limes than most people who arent running a cocktail bar, milk, a bit of cheese & a whole tub of buttery stuff & 1 egg .

    We will be fine :D

Also today, for the first time this year, I did some garden stuff. While hanging the washing out I had to concede that it had been a bit of an effort to even get to the washing line, mounds of leaves & twigs barring the way .

I was so entranced by the sun that I came over all earthy & raked all the leaves up & then gathered all the twigs to make into besoms. I also noticed snowdrops & some fo the bulbs that my dear Mum had given me years ago, starting to shoot. The forsythia has buds on it & a winter jasmine that I stuck in a pot back in the autumn is actually flowering so I put that by the front door :D

I'm now relaxing with Gordon & some ryvitas which I really really like, & tomorrow all I have to do is make the soup & visit relatives :j
