    Well here I am again,

Gin in one hand, wotsits in the other, typing with my toes & wondering why I dont lose weight

I've spent most of today being queen of the laundry & it is not much fun. I've made the executive decision to reduce the temp on the heating thermostat, but to have it on all day. The temperature drops so much within an hour of it going off that I cant bear it & it's no good for getting clothes dry either.

I've also waved a hoover about & cleared away all the boxes that were littering the place. Still not got around to writing out or delivering cards to neighbours but am determined to do it before christmas eve which was my delivery time last year :o

I've also managed my 12th NSD today & have no idea how  oh well, its a good omen for next years Frugal & Fabulous theme :D

Having done a bit of sneaky spending on CC3 - soon to become CC2 - I have now paid off what I spent & a little bit extra bringing that down to a neat £900. I like nice round figures so will keep to this method for next year. I dont plan to start a new diary as I love the title of this one & it's full of warm friendly peeps :A

I really should have paid something off Barclaycard but plan to whack out a biggie amount when my wages go in at the end of the month. Payment not due until the 7th so plenty of time yet ;).

Spoke to my lil sis earlier & seems she is also having issues with our dear father at the moment, her view is that without my mum to reign him in, he is a bit unmanageable & must therefore be shown the error of his ways by being sent to coventry for all but essential communications :rotfl:We have both separately come to the conclusion that we should distance ourselves from irksome relatives until they learn to behave like adults.

I am really looking forward to not having to get up to do lunch boxes & go to work tomorrow, it will be almost enjoyable just to do homejob.

I do need to review my proposed budget again, but am now off for a wander to catch up on diaries ...

    night night xx

ps - Tomorrow is Yule aka winter solstice aka the shortest day of the year so once that's over, the days will slowly lengthen again & we move on towards spring :j

Will someone please hid the quality street tin - I'm scoffing at a rate of about 10 an hour now :o

I dont even feel sick yet either, this has to stop tonight. There's only orange creams left now anyway :rotfl:

Not much news really, but you know me, love the sound of my own nails on the keyboard ;)

Both Topcashback & Quidco have emailed to forewarn of huge impending deposits into my free money savings account ... £1.81 in total. Only another £118.91p to get to that pair of boots I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] NEED :D

I've kinda already decided that I will have them & they will be my final extravagance of the year. I have a birthday coming up & have already received a cheque for £100 which was going to be for the Clothes Challenge / Barclaycard ... but as I dont actually need any clothes right now then I can put my £2 away towards stuff each week & treat myself to those boots :p:j.

I havent left the house for 3 days now apart from putting stuff in the shed or dustbin & have just achieved my 3rd NSD in a row & surpassed my target. Very good training for being frugal & fabulous next year.

I was asked to do extra home job work today & wow did it remind me just how much I loathe & detest it. I was thinking that hopefully this will be the last time I have do the manic week up to christmas though which does spur me on.

I know that the first week in January will be utterly hideous & I wont have much time for sleeping, so I'm making the most of my time off & didnt get up 'til 10 today . I could just quit the homejob now & take longer to clear the CCs but something is driving me on to just see how quickly I can clear them if I really put 100% effort in & while I have the opportunity, it seems wasteful not to.

I've put all decorating plans on hold for now. I'm conserving energy for working during the week & doing chores at the weekend.

    NSD 13 completed :D

souk - you're right & I'm moving on to pretzels as of tomorrow ;)

On the bright side extra paid hoomework moves you a tiny bit closer to being able to quit it entirely as a debt fee diva.

Do we get a piccy of the inspirational boots?

It's a bit early to test my decidedly non-techie skills so will try to do a link later

Off to brave the hoardes at Waitrose now ...

I think its these ones isn't it Lula?

I bought some dark brown boots in the middle of summer (they were a bargain) but have only worn them once - turns out I don't have any brown or co-ordinating clothes to wear with them. Of course it might be an excuse to buy more clothes and perhaps I could justify a nice new brown coat

Thanks for the fab piccy Tixy,

now that I can see them each time I visit my Quest, I simply must have them. I'm not entirely sure about the studs but love the shape, colour & the fact that they're high.

Of course you must buy co-ordinating clothes & coat to 'accompany' your new boots ;)

Have returned alive from Waitrose, Hobbycraft & Co-op. Am somewhat poorer though, but will declare that later. Now have to go & attempt to dye my purple suede bag to black & cross fingers that it doesnt shrink in the machine. Cant find cold water dye anywhere & too impatient to wait until I do.

If the shops wont provide me with a black suede bag, then I shall just have to create one myself.

    Bye for now

    xx
