As it goes, I don't think that the nails will be a viable business opportunity in the near future

    Any particular reason Pickle?

I was reading an interesting article on a blog called GetRichSlowly yesterday and it was essentially saying that sometimes we have to ignore our own negativities/comments from naysayers saying that we can't do something (whether it's changing career or starting a business etc.)

The article also went on to talking about peer interviews - don't suppose there's anyone you could ask a bit more about starting a small business doing nails etc.? Maybe there's a local salon with a room to let crying out for someone?

Sorry if this is completely surplus to consideration! ;)

Bless, Ed: it's none of the above, rather the fact that I'm not quite good enough to be let loose on Joanne public yet. As soon as I feel 'up to scratch', you bet I will be out there getting trade! :D I just need some practice, that's all.

Thanks for the comment, though! :)

I think I'm officially having a bad week...

Got a really, really bad cold that won't go away.

Grand-aunt (who was kind of like a gran to me) passed away.

Dog became ill and we had to take her to the emergancy vet. She seems to be getting better, but we are worried as she has had this twice in a month now and we don't know what's causing it.

Sorry to hear about your Aunt...my condolences to you and the family.
Perhaps your Mum didn't mean what she said to you as she's probably stressed about the death.
Hope your dog gets better soon.
Great big hugs to you xxx

If you know it's powerplay then just try and not let it bother you and really concentrate on coming up with a plan of action to get your own place.

Alas, until I'm a bit richer, nobody does.

Right, whinge mode off...darn you, best friend, my confidant...how dare you have a life in my hour of need? *Shakes fist in a general easterly direction vaguely toward her house*

Right, have spent then past hour or so sorting out work experience stuff. It's getting there, and that's the way I've decided I'm playing life at the moment, but I'm hoping to be very focused on getting a work experience placement in the near future. It's the only way to get into what I want to get into.

On an MSE front, I was hoping that this month would be, finally, the month where things started to level out a bit. Then I remembered I forgot I need to buy a nail drill (cost of which is ), so it probably won't be. Naturally, I'm trying to keep my expenses to a minimum in the meantime, but my mobile bill seems to have come in at about £10 more than usual.  Pah and pants.

Also, boss has slightly cut my hours and my commission promises to be dire this month, so I need to keep an eye on the situation there, too. I therefore appear to need to be able to look in at least three directions at once! *Rolls eyes*
