Dentist has told Pickle that she needs a nightguard as she grinds her teeth in bed (!), and they are very expensive, so Pickle has spoken to a friend of Picklemum's whose OH is a dental technician and will get her sorted out for a fraction of the price. :D Quite what fraction Pickle does not yet know, yet she is hoping it's a small one! ;)

Apparently I've got £2.50 Quidco cashback this month. Let the good times roll! :rotfl:

P.S. Have another loaf of bread in the Panni. I'm DETERMINED that this kitchen gadget will get used!

P.P.S. Pickle had bought a LOT of clothes this past few days and many of them will be getting returned as I didn't have the chance to try them on in the shop. Quite how many, Pickle does not yet know, either, but will in time.

P.P.P.S. Pickle is in middle of HUGE room tidy, and has nearly sorted all the pesky putting of music onto iTunes. Let the good times rock and roll! :rotfl: :T

I wouldn't go that far, but there's nothing terrible happening, so I'll take that for the time being!

And yes, Ed, I have noticed my own trait of writing about myself in the third person. I guess I am aware that other are reading it so I find myself writing as though for a science experiment and eliminating all the seemingly superfluous first person references...plus I have a mental image of a little pickle going round doing the things I write, which is much cuter than imagining me doing my day-to-day activities (That's sad, isn't it?!).

So, this pickle is toddling off back to her bedroom to finish tidying. *Toddles off*

Unlurk missy, and join in :)...and even though I own some trainers I rarely wear them (and I definitely don't do anything as unfashionable as sweatbands - I'm not a 118 man!), but start thinking of that little pickle in sparkly gold FitFlops and you won't be far wrong! :rotfl: (This pickle definitely needs to go running, though! :o)

    Hi All,

    Right...some confessions, methinks.

Pickle has been a complete spendthrift.

I (look how I'm trying to personalise it and realise that I am NOT a little pickle running around, Ed!) realised that she has literally NO clothes is her wardrobe for the summer, and so went and bought some. When I say 'no', I mean that I have one pair of black trousers, one pair of jeans and five embarassing T-shirt type things that my mum bought me sometime last year while trying to be helpful. (Needless to say they are about as unfashionable as it is possible to be and calling them 'T-shirts' is stretching it a bit, but bless her, she was trying to help). I just can't be seen dead in them. Honestly.

I therefore bought two pairs of linen trousers (a new departure for me as I have never tried anything like that before) and one gorgeous T-shirt for Next (which is a surprise in itself as I normally never buy anything from there as I find it very conservative), plus I have a pair of sandals on order from work for them, which will make a nice outfit, and I'll get them on my remaining 50% off of the season. I still need to get a few more tops, though, to see me through.

I was also wandering through Debenhams and saw some stunning summer jackets in the designer diffusion ranges. I really need a summer jacket as I only have heavy winter ones, and one summer one which doesn't really fit and I think may just have started to fall apart, which had gone down in the sale from £50 to £25, so I ordered it online as there were none in my size instore, meaning I also get Quidco cashback.

I need a few more tops, and a cardigan or two would be nice, but for once I have some summer clothes to wear as opposed to the less heavy items in my winter wardrobe.

Oh, I was in ASDA and they have a half price sale on costume jewlery as well, so I invested in just over a tenner's worth of stuff as I have nothing and realise that so many of my clothes would look better with just the smallest of accessories (I'm fine at putting on nice outfits, but really bad at accessorising). This should last me nearly forever as I tried to buy the most versatile stuff, and they accidentally put two thing through on the till at full price. At the same time I bought some clothes which didn't look nice on one I had the chance to try them on at home, so I returned them, enquiring about the items put through at full price at the time. By way of apology, they gave me a £2 gift card for my trouble. Slick!

I also made the mistake of reading the 'No More Toiletries' thread, meaning that I looked at The Body Shop sale, spending £18 unrecessarily. Admittedly, I did buy £75 or stuff and get free delivery, plus Quidco cashback, but I do have quite a lot to get through before then.

Nail course only has about four weeks left, and I have a ton of practicing to do.

Work is also a funny beast: we've got a new manager who declares to being a straight kind of character and liking to hear things how they are, but I have a distinct impression that isn't entirely accurate, and that he doesn't necessarily quite *get* me yet, but he is setting me some challanges, which I have no intentions of not surpassing. However, he has made it clear that he will be cutting everyone's hours, so I still need to be focusing my attenion on getting out of there as I can barely live on what I'm earning at the minute, and less will certainly not be good. However, I need to make my major priority nails at the minute, cos I can't not pass this nail course after everything it has cost me in every sense. This week I have lovely, normal-person work hours, so I am planing on getting as much practice in as possible.

I must go. I have work in the morning and points to be made with my new manager's little targets for me. I can see that he is purposely testing me, and need to be better than the tests. I think I will, but can't afford to be too complacent, just in case.

I've drank two nice but large glasses of wine, so I had better make sure that I am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning.

I have also just roasted a chicken coated in cajun seasoning. Go figure. x

P.S. I have bought a few lunches out, and also bottle of coke at work. It's now gone up to £1.20 a bottle as the cheapest in the centre, which is DISGRACEFUL, and they were all bought before the price increase. I will not be buying any more.
