The thing is, most of my friends aren't the type to have nail extensions. In many respects, I'm not either, so I'm still wondering how I got involved in all of this. :rotfl: I have practice plans will be sticking to them...I have no choice! :eek: :cool:

Right, have to go as I need to return something to Halfords. It's ages away and feels like a right waste of petrol, but needs must...

Hmm...might see about meeting a friend in that area for coffee. Then it wouldn't seem such a waste!

Just returned my Halford bits for a £10-something refund, and bought coke and choc on the way home.

Just saw an advert for Cancer Research on the TV. I still have that mad marathon dream. I have an aunt with some kerazy alternative ideas, and she has a theory about my knee. When I can expand my point of view to encompass quantum physics and biology and not explode, perhaps the knee will no longer be such a problem!

Alas no: she didn't pick up the phone when I rang. I think she has band practice or something on a Monday now I think about it. Ah well...

Was at work again today and came home today to speak to someone my mum put me in contact with: she's a life coach/recruitment expert and helping me get into what I want to get into. I think she's just what I need and, my word, she knows what she's going on about!

So...Body Shop goodies arrived today. Just awaiting the jacket now, and I hope it will arrive tomorrow.

Was supposed to go to someone's house for nail practice tonight, but it has since been delayed til Thursday thanks to long conversation with my new personal careers advisor (sounds swish! ). Still need to practice, though, send my CV to CA (as she shall now be called), and write out a few invoices for mum.

Hi Pickle, sorry not popped on for an age. Hoping you are well. One area of great success for me that Ive found effective is distributing flyers about my business, that is couldn't you do the same re your nail talents. Offer a price reduction for a set period, something like that. It would be too late now, but another area would be get in with the schools, this year dds shcool did an offer whereby you could donate a raffle prize to the school in return for your flyers advertising your business of course going into 400 children book bags for their parents to see , contact you and business!!! As it goes, I don't think that the nails will be a viable business opportunity in the near future, but I will definitely keep it in mind for when I feel 'up to speed', IYKWIM. I think I still need a bit of work before I'm let loose on the general public!

That, plus I need to get some public liability insurance. After my car insurance, that's not something I want to have to worry about in the near future (but, alas, will have to)! :eek:
