My son just told me you can go onto your wii and download the wii internet channel - which lets you use the internet - for a limited period for FREE (previously £3.50)
.......don't know if there are any t&c's etc............

My son has just told me this too. I have had a look but can't see any t&c's. Is there a monthly fee to pay or is it completely free.

Hi, have just been on it says free internet channel so I have downloaded it. Can't find T&Cs either but it does say free! Now having fun searching the web from my TV thank you very much!

I thought it was free anyway, but seems you had to download it using wii points previously.

However, you will still need an internet connection at home to access the internet through your wii.

Also, if anybody uses "homebrew" applications to play "backups" be careful you do not do any automatic updates as it may affect your wii!

been told people who purchased this before spending 500 points on it will have 500 points refunded to 'spend' on a 500point wii title (online)
this will be refunded october.....

i downloaded this 2 years ago when we got our wii and didn't have to pay for it then.

As far as I remember it was free to older users because it was in BETA and you got a free upgrade to the full product. For all us other wii NOOBIES it cost 5 hundred stars but now we get them back and get to use the new updated version as well

Thanks, my wii gets delivered in a couple of days and I was just about to purchase a Nintendo points card, so you've saved me some money which can now go towards shoes!
