  • Hi never really done the chat thing before, but find myself jobless and running out of things to do so have been lurking all morning.

So today I tried to fix the pull cord on the bathroom light. Its been stuck ON for the last 2 years; completely broke the whole thing, all fell apart so have had to go to B&Q to get a new one, now I just need to find the wire cutters so I can figure out what to do next. the instructions say use an electrician, but it looks simple enough, problem is I'm only 5 foot 2 so its a bit of a stretch to actually see what I'm doing.

I am suprisingly unworried sammy. Nothing I can do about it at present.
Applied for 1 job this morning.

Why are you doing the headless chicken thing?

trying to tidy up *properly* instead of just shoving things in cupboards.....

if i run around like a headless chicken I am not tempted to sit down and veg....

given up trying to work today....got to go into the office tomorrow....one of my colleagues is totally incapable of working on her own....

My reward for headless chicken is to read my book later...

    Hi Bookie

My daughter has been waiting 11 weeks for her JSA, and they still keep getting it wrong! It was a straight forward claim - the day she signed on she was not a student and did not have a job, but they have sent her one lot of forms about being a student and two lots about having a job. She can't seem to get it through to them!

They just don't realise people are trying to survive in the meantime

Afternoon folks. Interview went well. I think I cam across well and answered their questionsclearly and intelligently. Still there's something that makes me think I'm not what/who they are looking for but will wait and see...

Glad interview went well Luc :) Fingers crossed hey!

Ive had a semi productive morning but have come to the conclusion that spending my time keeping the house tidy and clean is counter productive a because OH is a dirty, messy person and can't be bothered to clean up after himself and b) because actually I would rather spend time having fun with DD. So new plan of action is do a whip around first thing in the morning and last thing at night. When DD is at school and I am off wed/Fri I will spend some time doing specific things! Sorry for waffling, just thinking aloud really.

Have phoned 2 of my debts and requested F&F's so am awaiting decisions :) Fingers crossed that Egg accept 50% (I already offered 30% which they turned down)
