DH's results are back finally - he's got a prolapsed disc in his neck. Referal to an orthopedic surgeon but no idea what's happening next - Dr was less than helpfull.
His company are understandably a bit offish about him being off for so long and informed him that full sick pay entitlement ends next week ......ouch! SSP will kick in but that's not a great deal of notice to drop to £79 per week.
Looks like it'll be beans on toast for a while then...maybe I could just feed the kids on alternate days?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Pooky, that's pants. I don't know how long it's been going on or likely to go on but maybe you should look into disability/illness benefits?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Yummy. Now there's a thought.
I have to nip down the church in a bit to practice for a sketch on Sunday. Was thinking about coming back via the chippy.
Feel the need for comfort food tonite - it's been a traumatic day.0 -
My housemates are annoying me again - they've been away all last week - now back for 5 minutes and the house is gross again *sigh* I wish I could afford to live alone...0

Pooky - What does your OH do? Prolapsed/slipped disc is a difficult one as they don't really know what causes it apart from injury, and they don't really know how to fix it completely either. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

evening all
Ive had a lovely day, playpark, allotment and blackberry picking with DD today with a few jobs in between
Nearly got blown away but it was worth it to be outside in the sunshine running along with not a care in the world...then came home to reality but hey can't have everything I guess
Fantastic Luc on the 2nd interview!
I am ebaying again tonight! Joy...not! but I am determined!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

It was caused by a car accident back in April, just taken so ruddy long to get MRI and results - no one wanted to take him seriously. We will get the loss of wage back eventually but having a weeks notice that we're going to be dropping over £500 a week is a bit of a headspin.
Both sets of parents have stepped in with offers of help which is reassuring and fantastic of them.
I just want DH better  Horrible to see him so down."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
