My OR interview was awful, I am sorry to say, I cried the whole way through as I couldn't remember all the exact details and dates and the guy just kept saying, well you took out the loan, when was that? He asked exactly what the amounts were for, and I said some had been for things for my ex from ten years ago, he just said, well what things and how much? It was over an hour and it was worse than I had imagined. He wants me to send proof that I became depressed - I have to send a Dr's letter, is that ok? That upset me too. Sorry guys, I wanted to be bright and breezy. The judge was lovely, this guy was not. It has taken me aback I have to say

Sam - I think you must have got a new OR assistant and he is trying to dot all the i's and cross all the t's. If you are not happy with the IPA and you think some expenses were knocked down you don't have to sign it - it is negotiable!!! Post up your SOA on your other thread and we'll go through it. Also, you need to contact the OR and ask how they came to the conclusion that you have over £99 surplus (if you don't believe you do).

I will post it, thank you, but I'm going to wait until I get the letter from the OR, as I got very confused over what he had allowed and what he didn't, so I am not sure where we disagreed. At least it's over. He did say I could talk to his boss if I wanted to appeal

Hi sams, very sorry to hear that you didn't have an easy time in your interview, I hope that when you get the letter, it is not as bad as you feared. but please do remember what FYP said and challenge it if you feel it is not right. It is an agreement between you for an amount to pay, not an order, it has to be agreeable to both you and the OR. best wishes xxx

Clairvoyant, it could possibly affect your wife because there will be an association between you, but I think if your wife does a sole application for anything, i don't think it should affect her too much as she should not have to disclose any details about you personally like your name or date of birth etc. I think that is the case anyway but you can never tell with banks these days!

well, the car finally went back this week. To be honest, it is a bit of a relief as this was one of the things that wasn't getting resolved.

Still not heard from the OR following my interview and I may phone them up monday if I haven't heard anything as they need my new employment details and SOA. They did say wait till they heard from me, but I just want to ensure I am doing everything I can to assist.

Going to get a valuation on the home this week too, to get the ball rolling with regard to buying back the BI.

Hi all, just a little reminder to please be careful about posting details of your bankruptcy on here - see elfieb's thread which she has kindly posted to help us all out - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2018467

Don't give too much detail which would allow anyone to personally identify you.

                    Best wishes to all xxx

Well despite my OR interview being on 6th October none of the paperwork he promised has arrived yet, so I don't yet know what he has based his decision on regarding my IPA. Meanwhile my company are moving and it will cost me an extra £2.50 per day to get to work, so I am going to tell him this in the hope its taken into account.

                    How's everyone else doing?

I would just like to say to all my fellow September 2009 BR and DRO club members - it's practically 6 months on now guys, so how are we all doing? For the BR we're halfway there already, for me it's been ups and downs but at the moment I can honestly say I do not regret taking this step (although I do regret some of the steps I took years before my BR! Oh to be older and wiser!). Good going all

Got the most exciting bit of news today - ED on the 1st April :):) I didn't expect the letter from the OR even though I had completed the forms and so was the nicest letter I have received in a long long time :) The sense of relief was amazing!!

Hope you are all moving forward positively !
