Sorry to hear your return to work was as carp as you thought it was going to be - amazing how the time flies by when you're off though isn't it. Evening all!
KissJenn - I sent you a text as well, but work let people leave early on Christmas Eve if they worked through their lunch (So they could leave at two for example!) and I don't want to commit to lunch if I get to leave early on Hogmanay, especially as I suspect the buses will be evil in terms of timetable  Does tomorrow suit?
I have been to Tesco tonight and spent £8 on Christmas 2009 (Including wrapping paper that will take me to 2012 I think!) stuff including cardmaking things and tops for my nephew (£1.50 each, hurrah!) I got some lovely mini-crackers for £1.25, reduced from £5 :j
In other good news, although work is EVIL the time to update my CV is nigh and I shall be looking upon the New Year as a time to be debt-free (or as near as dammit) and in a job I will, if not adore, be able to tolerate without stress/depression which is where I'm heading right now.
That being said, there was overtime available for Monday (Bank Holiday here in Scotland) and it's double time!! I am going to be doing the full day, doing high-volumes of work, but it's going to net me about £150 before tax :T Adding this to the fact that once I pay the council tax at the beginning of January that's me until April, I'm going to be over £200 up next month :j That's getting hidden in the savings account in case something happens with my bonus so that I can definitely pay for our car hire in March.
I have stocked up in Tesco today so won't need to buy anything more than milk/bread for the next little while. Milk (Arla green) was 75p in Morrisons yesterday so hopefully that's still the case tomorrowI plan to spend New Years Day stocktaking - we have cupboards full of food and I am now on a reduced groceries budget. I would like to sort out meal planning for the next few weeks, possibly even taking me up to payday on the 23rd. I got some fresh rosemary in Tesco reduced to 20p, so am slow cooking lamb chops tomorrow in lamb stock, with rosemary and garlic. I'm also chopping up some potatoes, and the lamb will rest on these which will make them filled with garlic and tasty joy. Om nom and indeed nom!
Right, first day back has left me drained, so I'm going to declutter one thing before bed and do my FarmvilleNight all!

Other things to be cheerful about:
- Lunch with KissJenn is now confirmed
- Tonight's dinner will be tasty!
- I have £20 received in Quidco at the moment, £14.26 sitting as validated and £26.26 sitting as tracked. All of this money will be offset from the Christmas spending once it's received
- I should be getting a cheque for £8 for Mr Fresian's old phone
- "Mr Fresian" is now playing BB
- When I ordered my brothers laptop (Netting me many Tesco points through paying for it on my Tesco credit card) I noticed that there was an offer to get a free £50 M&S hamper with selected products. Claim form has been submitted so there will be tasty food soon and hopefully a nice hamper I can recycle for Christmas
