Theres a direct train between the two and Bradford is home to the World Famous Museum of Film and Photography and Halifax is home to Eureka which is even better if you can kidnap a few small children. I'll loan you mine if you like
To be fair to him, if I suggested a meet-up he would happily either leave me to it or come along too. He came along to the DFW meet for a while which was amazing because he doesn't often leave the house due to his depression and hates pubs/drinkers. A good day!0 -

He wouldn't thank you! It's like Beirut at the moment, there's a massive hole in the ground smack bang in the middle of the city centre where there was meant to be a shopping centre being built but as Moo2 pointed out the Media museum is freeeeeee! (when are you going?). Actually MrFF would probably love Bradford on 2nd thoughts, there are no shops and it's full of pubs and curry houses.
Or in Leeds there's the brilliant Thackray Medical Museum, which I thoroughly enjoyed. http://www.thackraymuseum.org/exciting-exhibitions.htmlStart Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -

We're coming the last week in March (I think!)
He's been threatening to get me to try curry....I've always been a little scared of it

Well I survived the M&S sale unscathed - left the house at 7.50am and got back at 10.15am  The queues were mad by half nine!
Still, I got a good few bits and pieces including:
Mens scarves for £2 (Christmas 2010)
Mens fleeces for £5 (As above!)
Brown ankle boots for work £9 (Reduced from £25) They have a low enough heel that I think I may even be able to walk in them
LOTS of underwear. Some of this is going to have to go back...
I was disappointed that I didn't see any of the 125 year stuff reduced and that there were no decent smellies sets. I remember thinking "ooh, I must look out for X/Y/Z in the sales" but didn't see anything really good reduced. Still, I suppose that saved me some money. Maybe. I still spent £104 today  (Nicely covered by the £105 in cheques!) but I think that at least £25 in undies will have to go back to stop me breaking out into a cold sweat in the night.
I returned home slightly dejected as myself and Mr Fresian were going to go into town today and get dinner, but the snow has come on AGAIN and I don't fancy going out right now. Maybe tomorrow! Instead I have done three loads of washing and cleaned the kitchen, the only thing left to do now is to have a cup of coffee and polish my halo :A

Hi FF
Glad you had a good xmas. I love reading your diary.
I too have just got back from the sales, enought wrapping paper and xmas cards for next year. Didn't get much else due to having 2 teenagers trooping behind. May be a pain but quite MSE as they moan when I want to go into different shops to them eg M&S but did get my paper in there had my ears closed to the mumblings in my ear. Happy New Year to you and Mr FF will try and keep up more in the New Year. Mrs M2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Feeling a lot more productive today
I have done the following with my day:
- Braved the M&S sale. WHY do people go around with trolleys when the shop is HEAVING??? A pox on them!
- Went through all the stuff I bought from the M&S sale and decided only one set of undies is going back. Very bad! I did get work trousers for £25 (Down from £45, Per Una ones) and a pair of brown ankle boots for £9 (From £25) I just need to check the washing instructions on the trousers - if they will need ironing they're not for me
- Three loads of washing
- Dishes
- Made dinner (If you count putting steak pie in the oven as cooking...)
- SPREADSHEETS!! I have created my Christmas/birthday one and the lovely cw18 has emailed me her super-dooper one for using in the 8k Challenge. I've been playing with it and it rocks my world!
- Tidied a little. The spare room is still embarrassing, but all the Christmas/birthday gubbins for 2010 is now in drawers. I'm also going to make space to make that my decluttering/Ebay room. All the junk for sale shall go in there - I'm thinking that if I make money from our junk I could use it to redecorate the spare room which is horrible and in need of painting, papering and new furniture (Likely to come from Gumtree!)
Off to bed shortly, just need to run and make a quick shopping list for tomorrow morning. Back to (evil) work on Tuesday and need to make sure I have packed lunch food to eat. Especially as I got this baby for Christmas!
Night all.
Xx

Theres a lot to be said for having a trolley in a room full of sales shoppersSaving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 - Braved the M&S sale. Inspired by moo2moo attacking her kitchen yesterday I did much the same thing and decluttered two quite scary cupboards. I have noted that I have 18 tins of chopped tomatoes
This morning I have thrown out all of the scary tins and bottles (diluting juice with a best before of 2006 which had separated and left scary gunk at the bottom of it!) and am trying to think who I know who would want two thirds of a bottle of vanilla vodka. I have no idea where this came from as Mr Fresian rarely drinks and I haven't drunk vodka since I had a mix-your-own-measures vomiting incident at the age of 16
I have also been round the living room throwing out old envelopes/remnants of wrapping paper and have salvaged ribbon and tissue paper for use next year or for birthdays. The dishes are soaking while I finish my coffee and I need to hang another load of washing out before I get dressed and go to Morrisons.
Does anyone want a 2010 diary? I prefer a Page A Day ones, and this one is little and week to view, no use for my large handwriting! PM me if you want it - linky! It was a Christmas present that I won't use, shame to waste it!

Morning morning
I have just caught up on a large dose of F_F diaryness (or should that be dairyness) as I have not had much chance to look at the forums due to the festivities and being away from home.
Glad to see you have secured some bargains in the sales and not managed to injury yourself (I would be locked up if they let me loose at sale time)
I love the look of your lunch box so much so that I may invest in one myself as it looks rather funky and eating more fruit can't be bad.
How long until you are back at work? I have one week left and I am dreading going back, I will be fine once I am there, it is like the first day back at school when I have been away more than a week,
Enjoy the rest of your holibobs and have a good new year.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30
