Hope you all survived Christmas ok and that Santa was good to you! I got some lovely gifts, including some recipe books, jewellery and lots of Dr Who DVDs
For my own information more than anything, sales stuff:
M&S
Undies: [strike]£46[/strike] £21
Mugs x 2 [strike]£9 each[/strike] £2 for 2
Wrapping paper x 3 [strike]£3.50 each[strike] £3 for 3
Gift for me [strike]£19.50[/strike] £9
I went through Quidco and the cashback will pay for half the cost of the delivery :j
I have also bought three tops and three pairs of trousers in the Very sale for the princely sum of £36.45 (I did use a £10 off code, but I'm not counting it until I get the bill!)
My plan for today (I must be mad...) is to head to the Next and Boots sales. I want to buy as many items of clothing at half price as I can so I don't have to buy a lot for work during the year. I have some Christmas money to spend as wellIf Accessorize is open I might check out their sale too :rotfl:
Anyone else crazy enough to hit the shops?
LOL - your gift to yourself is now out of stock! I love it when that happens. I would love to go and hit the sales today but unfortunately DH is out today working so needs the car and there's no public transport here on Boxing Day -BAH!Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000

Sales Shennanigans...
Paperchase
I was sooooo happy when I saw they were open. They were in the midst of reducing things...I suspect I will be back tomorrow
Original cost of items: £29.75
Sale Price: £8.75
I now have some lovely gift bags and boxes I can use for presents throughout the year as well as some gorgeous birthday cards, and a birthday present for one of my good friends! If I'm in town tomorrow I'm going back - I love Paperchase
Accessorize
I was soooooo good! Despite seeing bags I had coveted before Christmas, all I bought was one pair of earrings (£3) and a present for a friend's birthday (£1.50) in December next year! I always buy her loads of little things, so that's started now!
Next
Wow, every year I forget quite how crazy the Next sale is. Yeesh.
A lot of what I bought didn't fit, so I'm taking some back. Total damage was:
£20 on clothes (One pair of work trousers and one work shirt)
£4 on a photo frame (Christmas 2010!)
£5 on toiletries sets (Christmas 2010)
I also bought some things in New Look, but they didn't fit me very well. I have seen some things I want in the Boots sale, but I want to see what I get when it's 75% off, especially as the 3for2 doesn't apply to sale gifts. Ditto for Monsoon - some lovely things, but I really can't afford them until they're closer to 70% offI picked up some nice trousers, but they were £39.50 half price :eek: Back on the shelf with them :rotfl:
Tomorrow I'm up at the crack of the sparrow's fart to go to the M&S sale. I usually get some good "uncle and auntie" gifts in their sale, and Mr Fresian needs new socks!
I'm aiming to be at the bus stop for 8am and in the shops for half eight. I must be bl**dy mental!

Right, on the basis of the previous post, I have transfered £42.25 from my spends into my new savings account, which has been set up for me to pay into while I wait for my credit card bill every month.
I can be quite sensible sometimes! Money update post to follow...

Money Post!!
I haven't missed doing these while I've been on holiday....!
Spends = £250
PAD = £56.30
Groceries = £166.15
Entertainment = £30
Things to note are:
1. New grocery budget of £170 for myself, Mr Fresian and the cats. This was £250 at the start of 2009 and has been £200 of late. I think I can do it as long as I look out for offers. My plan is to munch our way through the meat in the freezer in January, allowing me to do a big Costco trip at the end of the month.
2. New entertainment budget of £30 down from £50 at the start of my DFW journey.
3. Spends account looks high but this includes some money from my dad for Christmas (£50, much of which is spent!)
4. I also have cheques totalling £105 to bank from Christmas. I am going to use this for things in the sales for me and PAD the rest.

Theres a direct train between the two and Bradford is home to the World Famous Museum of Film and Photography and Halifax is home to Eureka which is even better if you can kidnap a few small children. I'll loan you mine if you likeSaving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
