Hopefully that is the right one - DFW meet in Edinburgh :j No travel for me!
Anyone else fancy it?
Ooh the excitement of meeting people of the tinterweb in real life, it is exciting and scary at the same time. I am very curious (aka nosey) and only live a train ride away so I may pop along.

Ooh you totally should do. KissJen has met me in real life. Can't have been that bad as we're on course to meet up again this week :rotfl:
If you get the Megabus it's only £1 each way from the Weege. Very MSE!0 -
Webby peeps are normal peeps ... well often they are.
FF is very almost normal honest. When she puts her banjo down, gets the cat off her hat and assures you it's a "pants on" day you could very almost take her out in public - again:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Morning all!
It's payday tomorrowso it's time for another update from me....
Starting debt = £6,993.88
Current loan balance = £6,187.12
Amount in Instant Access savings = £61.10
Amount in No Access savings = £1000
So, I now owe £5,126.02
The above is C&P'd from a post on the Debt Free Birthday Club thread. I have a couple of numbers to add to this:
Laptop - £75 left to pay
Overdraft - £184.42 still to pay
Total Debt therefore is £5,385.44
It's annoying to think that it would be sub-£5k without the laptop purchase, but I love my laptop so it's ok!
I think that with some good budgeteering I should be under £5,000 by October payday. I think I've just set myself another challenge :rotfl:

Well done FF. You've done amazingly well plus you've a laptop to die for, that's a great result.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0

In my head I call him Barney (Like the purple dinosaur!) Only in my head though. Mr Fresian would mock
Off to do some more budgeteering and play with my SOA. Flatmate moves out in a week and we won't have his money come October. I'm 30 next year and would really love to stop having a lodger. It's going to be tight though...0 -
I did nothing with my SOA tonight as I'm tired and wanted to mooch about on the internet and then go to bed.
I'm about to update my figures for myself and moo2moo's crazy challenge on the spreadsheet before bed though. I don't think it will make good reading!!
Notes for tomorrow (Payday, woo!)
All my spreadsheets are on the laptop, but I do my online banking in the morning on the PC...
I need to send the following:
Direct debits - £814.44
Holiday - £20
Christmas/Emergency - £20
Groceries - £220 (Down from £250 last month)
Entertainment - £45 (Down from £50 last month)
I am happy to reduce groceries for this month as I've been quite frugal and have enough cat litter to last another month! Sodding £10 a bag.....
Entertainment needs to come down. I rarely use this much, but this month have dinner with KissJen (Yay!), dinner with the girls, work night out and cinema with Mr Fresian. That's just the planned stuff. I'm going to be on the diet coke for the work night out methinks!
I have done three hours of overtime in the last week, netting me a lovely £30 pre-tax. I'm doing another hour on Thursday and also working on Saturday morning for three hours. I think there will be overtime going for a littlee while and would like to take it while it's there. My PAD money will mainly be going into my Instant Access account for a little while as I'm wanting to make sure that I have a buffer zone for Christmas. I need to get my mum to check her attic though as she's storing all of the "auntie stuff" I bought in the sales last yearSooooo glad I had my LBM in November :rotfl:

Hi Fay - welcome to the madness :rotfl:
Woo for paydayI've paid money for all the bills, and sent PADs totalling £92.15 (Emergency fund and laptop card)
I should get the last month's rent from our lodger today, which I am going to mainly use for PAD and see how long my actual salary lasts (Not long I would wager, after paying all the bills and making a big PAD I have £40!)
Plans for the weekend - for 'tis Hump Day and I can dream of weekends - are to do some overtime and batch cook my little behook off. Fun times
Plans for tonight are to meet KissJen for dinner and a movie. Hurrah:j
Right, must dash, these comps won't be winners unless I enter!0 -
Ok, I just bit the bullet and bought myself some new trainers. Mine have been leaking/falling apart for ages and are so worn inside that they're becoming uncomfortable.
I love skater style shoes and my last pair were Vans but cost me £45
My new Vans were £34.99 (Discounted by £10 online) from Schuh and I used the £5 off code mentioned in the weekly email to bring the cost down to £29.99 including free delivery. I should also get 6% cashback from Quidco. That makes it ok to buy them doesn't it?
