I've just received the same email. Can they do this? If they have took our money are they legally supposed to supply it? How does we stand with some receiving it and not others?
Can't believe they can take the money and not sell it to you and also not give you your money back for 4 weeks!!All my savings are going on the family holiday!

I've just checked my account details on Tesco and it's still showing as NOT despatched as yet so there's definatley hope, especially for the ones who have had the cash taken.. I would have thought as the previous person said that they only take your cash when the product has gone?0

I ordered one and just received this e-mail:-
Dear ******
You recently ordered a Dyson Party Clean Up Accessory Pack
for 1 GBP from the Tesco.com/Electrical site.
We are very sorry but unfortunately there was a pricing
error on the site, and we are unable to fulfil these orders.
In some instances the products have actually been despatched
and may be received. If this is the case you are welcome to
keep the product and you will be charged at the price at
which you ordered.
If, however, we have cancelled your order your account will
be refunded in due course. Please note that the refund of
1 GBP per unit can take up to 4 weeks to appear on your card
statement.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I don't know if we got the email as OH ordered.

Hi, I work in a Bank, and I always check my 'authorities' which appear when a company first processes your order. The actual transactions are then 'pooled' via their banking system.
In this case, I could see that Tescos did have my £1 authorised, the day after I ordered, but I've just checked my bank account, & the £1 was never actually debited.
The odd thing is, when I checked my account with Tesco, the order is still showing as delayed NOT cancelled?0 -

Seems like they keep changing their story - out of stock/awaiting delivery/wrong price - awfully inconsistent, I expect better service from such a large company.
I also ordered the shrek 2 dvd for £2.99. It is showing as cancelled on my tesco account - no e-mail or telephone call - I had to call them to find out what was going on and they told me they were out of stock even though people had been able to order them.

Yes they can, i am sure that they only need to supply the goods if they actually debit the money from your account as opposed to keep te money "on hold".0 -
same email as the rest of you. Think its a little bit cheeky that everyone is getting told different stories but you win some you lose some
I think its very cheeky that they say it will take up to 4 weeks for a refund though0
