I nominate... ehallet's 'trying to pay off one debt a month' thread.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=129472

My reason is this - we all find different threads interesting or helpful. This thread is a rollercoaster. I won't give it away but it is uplifting, it is sad, it is happy and, more than anything, it shows us all that you can get through anything. This is the best thread I have ever read and we are only part way through the story. I want emily's thread to win not because it has given me anything material but because it gives us all something more - hope and inspiration - and because I would like us to help emily towards her goal in a small way. If you don't read anything else this month, read this thread.

I'd like to nominate megsykins post (number 3 on this thread) as I think there are some really fantastic suggestions in there, such as getting work during the holidays and teaching the son about cooking frugally etc. :)

I just pop in now and then.... :)

I'll 'fourth' the 'trying to pay off one debt a month' thread. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....html?t=129472

It feels like the whole of the DFW forum is rooting for her, and she seriously deserves every bit of help she can get. Reading her story has helped me get off my behind and do something about clearing some of my debt, a little at a time. thats gotta be a good thing!

  • And me for Emily, even with all the cards stacked against her she manages to be focussed and upbeat.

Not especially for this particular post, but because LA is always upbeat, funny and compassionate for others. She's there with good advice for whoever needs it.

As you'll see from the thread, she's had a break in. This is a lousy thing to happen to anyone, especially one of "our own." I think she needs a lift after this so I nominate her for a nice £50 bonus. And by way of thanks for all she does for others.
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

For it's pure inspiration factor, and for not giving in when life really does seem out to get you.
