I May Not Be On Site for a While....

Options
Got home today and our house had been broken into.....

Patio doors totally trashed. Will need new doors & frame. Nearly a thousand pounds worth of DVDs stolen and a few other bits - could have been worse (much worse) but still horrible enough.

Tomorrow will be making a list of security things that need doing to try and deter people from doing this. That work that coupled with the two excesses for buildings & contents (£100 each) is not going to be cheap. The only way I can get some peace of mind is to buy it - and that's going to mean borrowing money.

I thought things were going a bit too well recently.....

Good luck everyone with your debt free pursuits and see you on here again soon I hope when I can think straight.

I am so sorry to hear about your break in. I cant imagine how you must be feeling. Our shed was broken into over the weekend and that was bad enough. Hope your insurance covers everything but it is still a horrible feeling that the scum of the earth can come into your home and help themselves to everything you have worked for. We invested in a burglar alarm years ago and it has given us some peace of mind. It is quite traumatic though I should imagine and will take you a while to recover. Its not so much what is gone, although that is bad enough, but the thought that someone has been in your house. Big hugs from me and I'll leave you in peace to sort things out and hope you will be on soon. I have always appreciated your kind words and advice so dont be away long. Good luck.

Oh LA, what dreadful news. ((Hugs))

Hope you're OK - it's awful to have your space invaded like that. I hope the barstewards that done this get caught pdq.

Sweet tea for shock and yes, do the security measures you need.

    Take care, thinking of you.
