Thanks Hex, I just feel guilty cancelling charity donations but we are struggling now and have three weddings to go to in coming months! Maybe I could reduce them to £10 a month from £20 and not feel so guilty?

Brilliant idea about us both carrying cash. I don't know why I didn't think of it.:o

rosepink have been mentioning to DH a couple of times a week about the lack of available balance in our CAccount. You are right it is time to up the mentioning of it. I am not sure if he is deaf, or selectively deaf?

Right back to listing books etc on Amazon, filled with new vigour after valli's news about her sale!

Poohbear...DH and I have two separate bank accounts. One in my name and one in joint names. He gets paid into the joint account then I transfer the money into my account leaving him with his 'allowance' for the month. The DD's then go out of my account and I know exactly where the money is up to. That way he has money to spend and once its gone its gone but I still know that the DD's will all go without him taking the money out.

Re. the charity donations: have a look at this. Maybe you could cancel your DD's for now and do this in the meantime so you don't feel bad.

Hugs Jennybee...its so hard going back after having a baby. I ended going full time when DD1 was 4 months old. It was really hard leaving her and I ended up going part time after 6 months. I totally understand what you're going through.

I feel like a right whinger now...DS is going to be 8 months when I go back. Which is a lot longer than a lot of people get and I'm desperately trying to be grateful for that. Ah well, OH better get used to being a househusband!!

ok...my HHC didn't happen as 3 minutes after I started DS woke up from his nap screaming. I have now calmed him, given him some milk and he is now playing with his toys in the cot whilst listening to the Beach Boys (when he was little, it was only the Beach Boys or Buddy Holly and other 50's music that would calm him!) so I shall have another go!!!! HHC at 4pm anyone?

Can I ask you all where is a good place to get cheap but decent quality boys underpants online ? Starting potty training and DS really could do with some more pants!

Living room star for me please Toots/Soappie

After my HHC there was big storm so we couldn't go to the park. I did a storecupboard and fridge audit instead (what a way to spend a days holiday from work!). I have found having a list of what is in the freezer useful and inspiring so I hoping this will help with my cutting costs as well. I guess I should think about a meal plan now but that is way to organised for me :o.

Very random in the middle of a cleaning thread although you will probably be cleaning up accidents but anyway...Asda and Tesco do really cheap packs of them about 7 for £2 or something daft like that, you might be able to order them online, dunno, hope it goes well, ive just passed that stage with DS, not planning on going there again!

Sorry yeah should have said I am in Orkney so cannot get to the usual stores like Primark, Asda etc. We can get Next online and some other catalogues but quite limited. Thanks anyway.
And sorry to put this in here, perhaps I should not have (sorry Pigpen)- it's just you ladies are so helpful.
On a flying front I have decluttered and sorted through some of DS's clothes ;).

I think may be I am being powered by a rocket, although I did do some of it this morning. I am in for the HHC, see what I can do before OH gets in.

Jiffy bags are fine for things in cases, honestly... you can always slide some card (from an old cardboard box) down the side as well. I NEVER buy new packaging :o

I thought you had to use new packaging for Amazon:confused:Valli well done on your sale, I may pm you for advise next week if that is ok?

I agree give yourself a break for a while and do some of the online clicking for the minute. You can also use sites like 'everyclick' instead of google and donate to charities that way.

Boys shoes sorted (I hope). DS3's changed for a bigger size, DS2's arrived and are ok. Returned DS1's as they are the same size as he's current ones which will last a bit longer and he may grow again.

Tried on DS1 coat - too small
Sorted out DS3 PE kit, just need to look in the shoe trunk to see if I have some trainer/plimpsoles.

Have decided to clean DS1 room first as he has made it lovely and tidy so will be easy to do.
