Snack boxes are working really well so far and the kids are loving them; I think they like the freedom of not having to ask and the control over what they have.

It's gone very cloudy here so going to get the washing in and do the outside sweeping before getting the kids to the shoe shop.

1st September today - I love September - makes me wanna buy school supplies Rosepink I know you'll know which film that is from :D
Love that film! I want bunches of freshly sharpened pencils...hence my avatar, (altho i did try to change it to the smurfs but MSE wouldn't let me :o) great film, really fancy watching it again soon
My house is a tip so I will try and catch up with the kitchen tonight after work as it is yukky - think DD left alone doing the cooking for several days.
That's amazing, my parents would never have let me get away with not cleaning up after myself. When ever I used to stay home alone if they are away, I had to clean the house and have it spotless before they got home or I would have the verbal equivalent of having all my skin ripped off!

    9. Take debit card from DH so he can't spend!! No I can't do it as he would be really hurt.
First of all, sorry that things are so tight, but don't panic! You are taking as much action as you can to sort out your financial situation. Is your DH aware that the money in your current account mustn't be spent? I've been mentioning to my DH that we are seriously skint and that our account is virtually empty several times a day to make sure he doesn't spend! Also, he has about 6 CCs so I gave him a choice of which he would give up and let me hide so he can't use them. I put it tactfully, lots of blaa blaa about not wanting to increase our debt and how much easier it would be if didn't use all our cards so would he mind letting me have some of his cards... Hope that helps in some way xx

My plans for the day have totally been blown out of the water - DH wanted me to drop something off for him at a place which is about 45-60 mins away from here, and on the way back I needed to do some photocopying so took a route past the house of a lady I've been helping to study the Bible. Her car was there, and as she's been away and I haven't seen her in a while I popped in and had a lovely hour there catching up with her. We've got a special week this week and she said she would come to the Bible meeting on Thursday, so that will be lovely.

It was a nice morning, just not what I'd planned! Glad I saw Sharon tho, and got my photocopying done as it's been on my mental list of things to do for a couple of weeks now.

I'm absolutely worn out now, so am going to bed now and maybe i will be able to do some washing up when I get up. Ought to find something in the freezer for dinner too

PenPen, Ouch! That sounds really painful! Hope your DD has a good first day today

Hugs Bevan, hope you are ok after your migraine and that your kitty is ok too, just ignore that woman from the vets, if you have to work, you have to work

Washing out, maiden full of ironing and DS's games listed on amazon - thanks for the support and advice with that - you know who you are!
I would think - having watched e bay that he will get a better price on Amazon...just got to decide whether to splurge on appropriately sized boxes or jiffy bags...
I have a large selection of jiffy bags, I always keep any jiffy bag that we get sent something in, so if you would like me to send you some you would be welcome. But you will need some labels to stick over the original address and stamps! Let me know
