The belt and pad was all that was really readily available back in the 70's.

What was worse then the belt was coming on in school and having to go to the school nurse for a towel - and two safety pins - not a hope in hell of it staying in place

I hate them, I tried using them once and they just got wedged lol so I dont use them now lol I really dont see a point
