I use liners but that's because I'm on the pill and don't have an actual period anymore (Thank bloody god) so anything more than that is too much.

I use the string liners for certain times of the month and also as Peachy mentions those unexpected gushes :rotfl: and re the reference to the string liners, can't believe I'm admitting this but I have in the past found myself cutting a normal liner to size to fit my thong when I've run out of the specially designed ones! :rotfl:else you find a large amount of overhang either side :rotfl:

What I have never been able to get on with are the towels with 'wings' that supposedly wrap around the outside of your knickers :eek: then come all unstuck and stick to the crotch of your trousers or worse!

But a quick wipe...come on! That only cleans the outside and I am not in the habit of wrapping a wipe around my finger and scrabbling round deep inside to get that stuff out! Anyway, wouldnt get past my cervix like those !!!!!!s do.

I use panty liners at the end of my period, i hate them. They never stay in place and unstick and i feel like i have a plasticy liability in my pants!

Oh and i can see the use of a panty liner for the odd 'love dribble' but don't expect Always to be using that idea in their next promotional advertisements!!! Imagine!!

I go through a jumbo box (and sometimes more) of large Always liners a month - I wear two at a time, and they are a godsend for me. I have quite a bit of discharge going on (doctor says its perfectly normal) and with working on a hot ward in nylon trousers I get paranoid about smelling. They keep me nice and fresh - plus i found another use when I had to go to the (horrid) train loo on Saturday and of course there was no loo roll was there :rolleyes:

Thought I'd add as a regular user, pantyliners are one thing where I've found the cheaper own brands are not nearly as good as the named brands. The Always extra large are my favourite bodyform a close second.
The supermarket brands tend to be more plasticy and have less sticky stuff so more likely to 'wander' !

I use the really small ones when on long haul flights, they help to keep your underwear fresh. I feel cleaner if I can refresh the liner.
I don't use them for normal day to day use.

Douching is linked with increased thrush and infection as it messes up all the natural acidity etc inside. Much better to pop on a liner and let nature take it's course.

I use them for the start and end of periods too (esp start, hate being caught out!) and when travelling. Often it's a very long journey with a lot of sitting and it's nice to feel fresh even if you can't change underwear during the trip.

Also at festivals - they are essential! Same reason as travelling.
