I use them throughout my period. Since i converted to tampons i use them every day because then the wee that hits my tampon string gets soacked up by the liner and not my knickers. Plus at the end of my period i use them as a method of cathing the last bits without having to go for a full blown pad/another tampon.

And as for the comment on the europeans taking more care over underwear? im not so sure on that one!! I work in lingerie so perhaps im biased, i can see where the quote comes from in some people, but when i went to france the size range was appaling!! ive never seen a 28G abroad before, nor have i seen many underwear shops either.

The reason fewer British women use them is that we (along with the Americans) use tampons. Most other countries in the world don't use tampons (like the far east, for example, where it's very unusual). I only found this out when I went to live in the far east and found it incredibly hard to get hold of tampons.
  • The pill I'm on makes my periods extremely light, too light for a tampon or a pad so I use them

Snap, mine never used to be as light but have been the past year for some reason so liners are a must

Gush?! I think a quick wipe is much more cleaner :rotfl:
I'm sorry but unless you are very lazy (I have in the past) or late for a flight , how can you walk around with last night's "remnants" there?!

You're joking, a quick wipe :rotfl:
Sometimes it goes so far up it takes days to re-appear, I kid you not  and there's no way I can force it out, no matter how much I push and squeeze my muscles. I don't know where it stays, but it's in there somewhere, just waiting for the most inopportune moment.

I don't know whether that's due to me or the OH though :rotfl:

    Hi,

I promise i'm not a pervy man in secret! Hope this question isn't too personal..

Do you think pantyliners are a waste of money? Do you use them? I'm not sure if British women use them as much as a other nations.

I don't ever use them - waste of money.

Panty liners aren't supposed to be used for blood flow.

I think I can speak for the rest who say they are so light we are talking more a stained discharge rather then a blood flow. If I attempt to use a towel at those times then Im dry and sore. A panty liner is suffice
  • never used them before i had children. got some samples during first pregancy - 8yrs ago, and have used them since. although i change underwear everyday, the liners are good for discharge during ovulation time and just last few days of period. keeps underwear cleaner and stainfree!

    btw why the thread ????

I agree with Peachy btw! It always comes when you least expect it :D Even after sitting on the toilet letting gravity takes it's course, and you stand up feeling confident that's the last of it, and the moment you get dressed there it is :rotfl:
