    Hi Bronnie :D

Hethmar - you've done so well not to give into the temptation while you were away!

Tara - Laughter can't possibly be bad for you :p

I had a proper look at myself in the mirror today (I usually avoid them like the plague, I loathe looking at myself) and I do believe that what is unaffectionately known as "The Shelf" (horrible area at the top of my bum/lower back) is rapidly disappearing. This has cheered me up no end :j

    Hi Bronnie, welcome.

Scales said I've trimmed of just 1lb so far this month, really seems like a plane coming into land, these last few lbs are taking their time going.

You too hey! Had to stop at a service area for dinner sunday night as my boys go a bit mad if we don't feed them by about 5.30pm. Fish 'n' chips was the only thing on the menu I fancied. Half the batter got peeled off and left and number 1 son was still hungry after baked potato and beans so he had about 1/3 of my chips too... and a big chocolate cookie - which I didn't have any of.... well just one tiny crumb :o (honest):D
  • Just back from a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales with lots of dog walking (3 miniature Schnauzers), and had a sneaky jump on the scales and I have STS! A miracle, me thinks! I need to get back to the serious business of getting healthy now, oh yes...

Ump, I have apparently put on two mystery pounds today. Doesnt make sense, havent eaten anything which would keep me sts let alone put on TWO pounds! Im trying not to panic though, because as you lot know, this does happen and in a couple of days hopefully that 2lb plus one more will suddenly disappear.

Does spoil the start of the day for me though :(

But good for the soul Tara!!

Well today I am weighing in at 10st 13lbs. So a couple of pounds off since last week, I was hoping for more as I think I've been really good this week, but at least it's two pounds in the right direction! Fingers crossed for next week.

Everyone's been talking about animals this week, but our pet has gone missing. Our lovely cat went out last Sunday night and hasn't been seen since . We've checked with all the neighbours and nobody's seen her. But I suppose she could still come wandering home...Hopefully!
  • Hi and welcome bronnie, I'm new to this group too, but they are a friendly bunch.

I'm going to weigh in again tomorrow I think folks, see what the scales say this time, I'm still not convinced they are accurate, but maybe I'm kidding myself....... But then gaining a stone in 24 hours seems unlikely......

Anyway was pretty good yesterday, cereal for breakfast, rice for lunch (ready made packet stuff as I hadn't got any lunch in but hey) no snacks, a few olives while i cooked and them home made leek and potato soup with two slices of seeded wholegrain bread.

Did have half a bottle of rose though......... tut tut......

Only had a frusilli bar so far today as I'd run out of cereal for breakfast, and have got chilli con carne leftovers out of the freezer for lunch. Need to go to the supermarket after work. Any suggestions for virtuous meals for my meal plan????

Do you know what shocked me ???? (calorie counting-wise). One slice of garlic bread and I mean the small bagette type ones - one slice is 70 calories  So another pleasure lost for the time being.

    Snap!

I'm a bit shocked actually. I know my water intake has dropped a little so I think it could be the dreaded water retention.

I took he old horses for a walk again today. :)

hethmar - would it be less if you made it yourself and used a low fat spread for the garlic butter part? Or is it the bread that's the problem?

My mum nearly died of shock after discovering that Tesco's free from scones are nearly 400 calories EACH  She's got all kinds of food allergies so they were one of her treats.
