Well done !!! I still havent weighed myself yet - really must get round to it !!! I only seem to remember in the middle of the day,or just before I go to bed - and Im sure I have a hefty increase during the day !!!

p.s. for anyone who wanted to see my horse - there's a pic of her (and my dog!) in the pets section, in the photos of our pets thread - page 3 i think... :)

Poshstock66 and The Dragon - well done on your weight losses :T

I've not done so well since I weighed myself last Monday, nothing terrible, but a couple of weak moments that have left me feeling  with myself. My downfall is that *first* chocolate biscuit, or piece of chocolate, or cake etc, because after that first mouthful I then go on to eat, and eat, and eat, sometimes to the point where I feel sick. I know that the way forward for me is to not have that first mouthful, and sometimes I can summon up enough willpower to resist but the past couple of days have been really tough. One night my 7 year old DD was so argumentative that I had a glass of wine to calm myself down, which then led on to another glass followed by choc, etc. Last night it was PMT that led me to the fridge.

Anyway, I'm on the straight & narrow today - meals planned, coping strategies in place, willpower all revved up :A Tomorrow night is DH's first night off work (the beginning of his "weekend"!) and we always have a takeaway on that first night, so I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning, rather than Monday morning, only a day early!

Hope everyone else is having a good week.

    Nicola

Right, I'm doing better today. Got up and got out. I'm quite pleased with myself. I did one of my dog walks at the normal time, bathed two horses and took them for another walk (the old girls love a change of scene) and have blackmailed DH into doing an exercise video with me for encouragement this afternoon, then we've decided to take the other dogs (our dogs who didn't walk with us and he other dogs this morning) for a really long lead walk on roads, whch is better exercise because I can walk faster. We checked the fenceline in the to main fields and washed out two feild waterers. :) All before ten am, and coming in twice for cups of coffee

I just love the feeling of having done almost everything I have to do so early.

This week is going to be another good week.
  • Hi everyone I'm back:D
on my first weigh in of the month I was down to 13st 13 then the same this thursday.. however I have been very very bad so from tomorow its back to basics. 3 good meals a day, at least 1.5L water and a small snack in the evening (yogurt, hotchoc etc) and if you all down mind I will be posting daily menus again:D

Well, just back from a weekend away and get this guys, although we booked b and b - I didnt go into breakfast on the two mornings. I knew if I saw all that bacon, sausage, fried bread etc. I wouldnt be able to resist, so I sat in the room with my dogs whilst OH went on his own to eat - he did bring me back a piece of toast this morning though :)

Afraid on the way back we did stop at a service area and I bought a (small!) beefburger - thats all I asked for but the guy put in a bag of chips and I ate half of them :( But I think the amount of walking we did must surely counter balance that sin.

We shall see in the morning when I weigh myself at my usual time.
