I don't know for sure either - but suggest you click on the Abuse button every time somebody makes a REALLY obnoxious and uncalled for post (I have done so several times in the past few days!)

yes thanks tbw, i have already had to block someone, as their messages got really quite personal and nasty. it is just a shame that the site seems to get used in such a way. we are meant to be adults!!! it is a shame, as this is a really usefull, informative site. but i am finding out that the majority of users are very "nice"

I'm a newbie on here too and yes there are some pretty rude people on this site. i think if your going to let it get to you that much then here isn't the place to be(you can't avoid it, it happens on a lot of sites) some people may seem rude but are actually only giving their point of view on the situation as they see it, not always what one wants to hear tho unfortunately, but that's the whole nature of these places.

Kaj, if your really that unhappy about things then put it in writting to their head office explaining exactly what happened, how it has effected you and what ideally you would like the outcome to be.
If they have a decent level of customer service then they will usually oblige you with a refund and perhaps a free meal, but from the sounds of it you wouldn't go back there as this experience has put you off, but you could perhaps give it to a friend or even auction it on ebay or something.
Maybe it isn't "policy" to use a cocktail stick usually, but perhaps the member of staff that made up your burger thought it sensible to do so to hold your burger together in that instance.
Whatever the reason, I'm sure seing as you have eaten here before with no problems, that this was just a silly mistake and the person responsible has probably already been given some sort of talking to/re-training regarding this.
Hope your mouth is better now, and you get the outcome you are after (as long as that doesn't resort in some poor soul losing their job)

    Take care

How sensible. However I said pretty much the same thing and she went a bit crazy so... I'm not so sure she'll take it on board!

erm, with all respect, i dont deserve to die, or have to grow up or even get a life, just because i have posted on a forum, and used it in the manner it is meant to be, they are abusing the forum and being "bullies" hiding behind their computers. i dont mind if i like what you say or not, but there is no need for anyone to be rude about it.

You're not really using it in the way it's meant to be because you seem to be unable to cope with people giving their honest opinions on what you're posting. If you're so thin-skinned then again I wouldn't bother coming on places like this. I have posted things in the past that people have not agreed with but I've never reacted like you have (ie blocking people) because people have a right to come and post what they want. These are OPEN forums, it's like within the general population there are some people that you wouldn't choose to spend any time with, but you don't really have a choice here. You can't "choose" your forum-mates. The vast majority are able to co-exist reasonably happily, I suggest that you take a step back and calm down.

And I'm not sure why you're going on about deserving to die, no-one said that. Maybe you're not reading the posts properly, I said that the person who posted that was childish, not anyone else and they didn't direct that comment at you.

EDIT: Also, maybe you've forgotten, but you were the one who first told people to get a life... So you're allowed to do it but others who say anything along those lines is in the wrong? If you have that attitude you won't make many friends on here.
:D**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

i dont mind people giving there opinions, i can cope with others giving there view, and i respect that. its the nasty comments that i dont think anyone needs to be honest. i shouldnt get of the site because of over people inadequacies. like i say i have blocked some really nasty comments, which i do feel arent called for.. but mature grown up opinions, to my liking or not are what most people want. i should be made to feel like im on the wrong site because others are just plain right rude. they have the issues, not me.
