It's funny how things between 'friends' are always the most difficult to sort out. Shouldn't they be the easiest??

When I came back from travelling (years ago now), having before that split with my then partner, I had no money and nowhere to stay. A friend from uni, with whom I'd shared in the last year, said I could stay at hers and her friends. I thought we got on ok, and I stayed in my friends room sleeping on the floor. I think I paid my share of bills, but when I left (I only stayed there for 2 months), the other person said I owed for something else as well, which I didn't. It wasn't a lot of money and though I was at that point back in work and therefore moving to my own place, I wasn't happy how it was put across that I owed them money and it did affect my relationship with my uni friend as well. Then came out that the other girl had not liked me at all from the start! She wasn't my cup of tea either, but I thought I got along with her fine.

    Life, eh?

Yeah, I have certainly learnt a big lesson today. I am also p***** off at my OH as I only backed down because of him. I can't stand the 2 of them now. But I do believe in karma. They don't have a great life now anyway. They are both heavy drinkers and he totally controls her. At least I have a nice life.

Can't wait to get home. We got back pay today with pay and I want to work out exactly how much it is, but need last months pay slip for that as they haven't itemised it. Also, got accepted for a cold remedy study, and after it's completed in 4 months time, I should receive £160 for it!! I'll believe it when I see it!

Going to a classical concert tomorrow night. Tickets for council employees were only £5 so will treat bf for that as well. I hardly ever am able to treat him for anything so will take this opportunity. He can buy the drinks though. ;)

Yay to £160 for the study. That is a great amount of money :)

Things have worked out a bit better re: tenants. She sent back an email saying she felt terrible and didn't want any money. I then sent an email and said why don't we compromise so no-one feels like they are being done out of money. They were expecting £240 from us, so we are giving them £120. I am happy with that as I think we all should have discussed things prior to this happening.

Well, it will be great when I finally get it. Something to look forward to. ;)

Oh I'm glad it's sorted out re: tenants. You always should sort things out before hand, but you never think you need to. It's just because we all think slightly differently about things. You going for that drink on Friday night now?

Yeah, going for a drink now. I feel better about it now so might as well. It's a good thing I am pregnant as I might be tempted to get rolling drunk!

Is your dongle working now? You never seem to be on at night but maybe you have a life in the evenings Lol!

The concert sounds great for tomorrow!

Dongle is working fine, but I'm not on that much in the evenings. I usually only have 2-3 nights at home without anything on.

Yeah, looking forward to the concert. It's Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra and the pieces are

    Michael Bell – Conductor
    Stewart Roberts – Piano

    Berlioz – Roman Carnival Overture
Grieg – Piano Concerto in A minor
Tchaikovsky – Symphony No 6 in B minor ‘Pathetique’

I don't really know anything about classical, but bf is pretty good with all sorts of music. And I enjoy live things.
