  • Morning all. Had a good start to the morning. OH was offered £300 for his DJ decks (which he hasn't used for 2 years) so he is going to sell them. We have now sold the bed and lockers, the treadmill and the DJ decks. We just need to sell the futon now, and I think our tenants are interested in that so happy days. If we sell the futon at the price we want we should make a grand total of £780 to pay off the credit cards!

    How is everyone today?

    Hi CMD.
    Fab news on the sales.

It's all going fine here. Money was in my Finnish account yesterday so paid 3600€ off student loan. Obviously it's now on my credit card, but at a lower interest.

Good news on paying off some of the loan! I am half tempted to do that with some of my loan when I clear my credit card. However, instead of lowering the term I might lower the repayments to give us a bit of leeway when the baby is born.

When will you know what a difference it makes to your balance?

  • Yeah, I think it is a great idea to be honest. Gives you a bit of breathing space to live your life. When is the 0% up on your credit card?

I have a potential deal at the moment until June 2010 but want to wait until my card is cleared and then hopefully I will get a longer deal and put some of my loan off it :)
