  • Hi

CMD - I am so very sorry about your cousin and her little boy, how very sad, I can't imagine what she must be going through right now, why does life have to be so cruel?

I got Xmas cards today, got 26 nice ones with Father Xmas on and a little girl for £1.99 and 3 lots of 40 small cards, two packs with little puppies with Xmas hats on and one with cartoon drawings of Father Xmas for the kids to take for their friends at school, they were 99p each so got all my cards for £5 (have some left over from last year).

  • Thanks all for your wishes. The funeral is today. I have decided not to go as I was meant to meet her this weekend to chat about babies (haven't seen her in about 3 years) and I feel I would be a reminder of someone who still is pregnant.

Does that seem like the right thing to do?

  • Anyway in more positive, MSE news, I have received £120 in expenses so I have managed to pay that off my Virgin card. It is great to pay that amount off so close to pay day so I am very happy with that.

I think that's the right decision CMD. They know it's nothing to do with you, but could probably do with out the reminder. Hope you ok.

Then time for confessions. Bought a new gorgeous coat! Not exactly in the shopping plan, but too good to resist. It's julien mcdonald and I got 30% off! See if I can attach a pic. Just a second.I love it!!! :smileyhea

The thing I went shopping for yesterday was new work shoes, but the ones I found and really love are brown! :o I only have black work trousers. Found black ones that are ok when trousers on, and really comfortable, but not as nice. I want them both and am devising a way to buy them both. Will put pics up of those as well. You see, it's my time to be bad and remember - CAFC is away!!!! :D:rotfl:We can be as naughty as we like.:p They did the brown shoes in black, but they weren't anywhere near as nice, actually, didn't like the grey stitching at all.

  • Thanks Tirlittan - I do feel a lot better :)

Ooh yeah, I prefer the brown shoes as well. Way nicer! I love the coat too

I went on a bit of a shopping spree yesterday but my Mum bought me a coat, jumper and 2 tops. I got some from Mothercare and some from Primark. The coat was only €31 and it is a beautiful purple swing coat. The other stuff should last me right through pregnancy so was well happy with that!

Yay for shopping!!! To be honest, this is the first time in yonks I'm buying new stuff and I have been saving. I just wasn't expecting to want/need two pairs of shoes. The black ones would be for work as they look ok with trousers on and are only £35. I do really need black ones for work, and I can't find anything else I even half like. But the brown ones would be a treat for me.

Your right. You do work very hard at saving and do deserve the shoes and coat.

My excuse is that I am expanding so need to buy clothes to fit into!
