Oooh, new thread, I'm liking it! I'm plodding on towards the hat, though my income is likely to drop fairly soon.
Sounds like you've all had a busy week with your house transformations and beauty treatments. Well I've done both at once today.... managed to drop a pot of blusher that exploded .. white bathroom floor and walls now pink, plus it's a mineral blusher, so expensive and will stain. As I tried to clear it up I dropped a pair of sandals in it and ruined them.
My crushed foot is ok again though, just managed to walk to the pub.
Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday x0 -
Glad you are doing better now snow white! Sad about the mineral blusher - ouch!
Well done shelley on resisting the bag! I still hate orla keilly bags but you have (you and PAID) have made me notice handbags everywhere now where I never used to LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi CAFC
So glad you had a good lunch with your family, you must feel a bit relieved now you have decided to hand your notice in.
When does your dh start his new job?
Anyone else watching Titanic, I'm in the office but can see the TV in the living room so am sort of watching the end.
Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend?

Can't believe it will soon be September, this year is flying by, shame the debt is flying off too. I can't wait until 1 December to open my sealed pot. I have also started a smaller sealed pot for £2 coins, the big pot is going to be paid off my credit cards and the £2 coins are for Xmas. I already have lots of presents for my girls so won't need to spend too much more on the kids.
Sorted out the kids bedroom today and put the beds back as bunks and the babies cot is now in their room although she is in bed with OH at the moment as she was too tired to fall asleep on her own. DD1 is asleep on the settee, I didn't know she was there until I came out the office about 30 mins ago and found her there, she was up watching Titanic with Daddy. DD2 is asleep on the top bunk - bless her!!!!
Just cooking cheese and ham potato skins for a quick snack (must be nearly burnt by now) so will check back tomorrow.

hi all. well i've had a rubbish day. DH came home this evening and we've rowed already. he came home and just announced he's going back in 3 weeks for the weekend. the whole time he was away he would text me saying how much he missed us and how he wished he could come home and now he's already agreed to go back. i was not a happy bunny. i asked him if he would take DD up with him and ask his parents to look after her during the day and he said it wouldn't be fair asking them cos they would have to have her all weekend cos he couldn't possibly miss out on all the evening goings on. and yet he hasn't even asked if i'll be working on that weekend (which it looks like i will be) cos he just assumes my parents will have DD if i am. doesn't he think i've asked enough of them this last month?? i am fuming. he's lucky i'm in work and can't yell at him all night.
am i being unreasonable by being annoyed?Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
