Starnac- it is hard. I bought a flat at 26 and if someone told me I would be having a child and renting again at 33 I would have laughed. The flat is gorgeous but it isn't ours :(

i know that feeling. i have a lovely 3 bed semi, off road parking, enclosed garden, nice quiet street close to all the ameneties (sp?) and good schools and i'm living with my parents. it's just so annoying. it rubs me up the wrong way to think we may have to rent just to have our own space.

that makes me sound so stuck up. don't get me wrong i've got nothing against renting - hey it pays my mortgage ;) - but after owning 2 houses it feels like a step backwards.

 listen to me moaning. shut up right now.
okay things i have to be grateful for:
    1. a loving husband
    2. a beautiful daughter
    3. a roof over my head
    4. i have a job (not well paid but it's a job)
    5. my health
    6. a supportive family
    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50
    Money Made £0/£200
    Overpayments £0/£200

i am feeling a bit better. i've just felt like i'm not getting anywhere, that my life is on hold, i'm trying to do too much....you know the usual.

Don't worry starnac, I know that feeling and I'm struggling with it all the time. I feel like my life is on hold until I'm debt free. And it's an awful feeling when I think that I've not achieved anything and am already 31! Feel like I have no prospects.

Not only am I renting (not actually a big deal to me) but I'm in a shared flat with 4 others and I just can't take it anymore!

ANyway, enough moaning. This year is My Year! One of the first things I'm going to do is find another place. I still can't afford to live on my own, but I need a bigger room and to share with less people, but for the same money as now and I'm going to do it in the first quarter of this year! I've had enough and now it's time to take positive action and change things! This is my number one.
    DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!

Your right both of you! We should all focus on what we do have and what we will have when we are debt free. When my debt is all gone I am going to start over paying my mortgage so that we can move to Spain in a few years and have a small mortgage there. I want to pay off as much of my mortgage as possible and have a lovely life there with my OH and baby that is on the way.

So onwards and upwards for the lot of us. Life isn't too bad!

Thanks! It felt great and also feels great to nearly be rid of all credit cards. At least we are both beginning to make some headway debt wise. 2010 feels like it will be a good year for us :)

Hi - we've had to kind of start over a few times too - don't be too hard on yourselves about it. We lived with my MIL for 6 months once between houses due mainly to debt... It does end. We are now back in a nice house with equity but some debt....

CAFCgirl - sounds like you need to go to the dentist pronto!
