Hotels that i have stayed in Vegas and rating part 1
Ballys good centre location but 15 min walk from car park through pool casino ect to lifts to room.***
Monte carlo fairly central a nice hotel with a nice big pool area and good rooms****
Holiday Inn boardwalk
nice basic smaller hotel with small pool but at least you dont get lost going to your rooms ok ***
Rivera ok hotel down the bottom of the strip, get used to walking if you want to move away from the cheap seats hotel crowds of Circus circus.Small pool but clean rooms **
New York New York, nice hotel tiny pool area and the rollercoster can be noisy if your room is near by, strange decor in rooms but nice position on the strip.***
Golden nugget in downtown section but very nice with no cars and easy to move from hotel to hotel unlike on the strip, very nice pool area ****
Ceasers palace , nice location and rooms although there are rooms and tower rooms, a bit of a pain to move around and enter though ***
Flamingo, coming apart at the seams a little , a bit old time Vegas with worn carpet ect, but one of the best pool areas in Vegas and quite cheap to stay, but again be careful because they have tower rooms and outside chalet type rooms.**
Station palace. A fantastic off strip hotel that does have one of the finest buffets in Vegas, the rooms are nice and cheap and the prices are fantastic.***
phew part 2 of Vegas hotels and also including Laughlin and primm to follow, i have to go for dinner ;-)0 -
Should I just use the UK site, or should I try with the US one, is that likely to be cheaper for me with the conversion taken into account?2p off is still 2p off!0

Well I would use the US site , but some will say the UK site costs the same, I personally think that the US site is cheaper.
But lets be honest your onto a winner what ever of the two sites you use so don’t worry too much!
Are you planning to gamble very much?
will post part2 later.0 -
I am going to California around September. I am going to try to visit LA/Hollywood, San Diego, Las Vegas and maybe San Fransico.
Anyone have any recomendations of hotels?

How do you mean gamble? I think I did well with my Vegas hotel saved about 50% which isn't bad and I hear the Golden Nugget is slightly better located then the Luxor, hopefully the construction work won't affect things too much, but not seen any really bad reviews about it on Trip Advisor.2p off is still 2p off!0

Hi Guys!
quick q - i'm going to las Vegas in Sept and was thinking about maybe going to Los Angeles for a day or so. Does anyone know the best/cheapest internal airway to use for going between the two? And is this better than going by bus (i looked but don't fancy the 5-6 hour trip there and back)
Any info appreciated!0 -

thanks fatboyonadiet
have found them for £108.80 return for the 2 of us - does that sound like a decent price to you?0 -
Who is that with? Sounds OK to me but might be best to wait for someone who knows a little more to post a reply. You can also use Priceline for flights so could try naming your own price.2p off is still 2p off!0
