The only accommodation I ever book in Las Vegas is the 1st 2 nights of arrival, this is because I am usually so shattered that I want to fall into bed as soon as I get there and as it's usually a Sat night a lot of places are booked up. I then spend those few days checking out the Travelers Coupon guide and move on to a deal!

When I go in Sept I am staying 2 nights at The new Frontier - book 2 nights and get 25% off the cost so for Sat night it's £60.81, which is a bargain as most places add $30 for a Fri or Sat and then £29 for Sunday. Includes fridges and coffee machine in room. https://www.hotels.co.uk
It's located next to The Fashion Mall shops on the strip and will do me initially.

The cheapest car hire was from https://www.dollar.co.uk

Excellent for the Enchilladas and frozen margaritta specials - if you want to know what real pain is, try and drink one of the m through a straw as fast as you can!

For hotels, I'd recommend doing a search on https://www.venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance!)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W

    Hope that helps

You have to wait 24 hours. What area and star rating did you bid for as you might have some free bids left?

I just came back from Vegas and LA last month. Managed to get Marriott in Marina del Ray for £54 a night on priceline. Was actually hoping for a 3 star in Santa Monica but the hotel was very nice and we're still talking about the beds there now! If you're driving it's not that far from Beverly Hills etc and only 10 mins from Santa Monica. We also stayed at the Westwood on Wilshire which wasn't nice so beware if bidding in the Westwood area. However, the area is only 10 mins from Beverly Hills. Our last hotel was the Westin LAX for £30 a night on our first night in LA as we were flying to San Francisco the next day.

We flew from Vegas to LA and it cost around £30 for a single with Southwest Airlines as we flew directly from San Francisco to Vegas. Then we picked up our retal car from the airport so there were no additional taxi costs involved. All the rental companies have free shuttles which take you to their pickup sites.

In vegas we stayed at New York New York for $89 a night. They had a package deal on which included free room upgrade, free passes to their roller coaster, free drink in bar, 2 for 1 breakfast and free spa admission.

Aladdin and Luxor were really cheap when we went too- around $69. Just make sure you go Mon-Thurs as hotels are half the price.

Put CA as the State and 99999 as the zip code.

I also use Sandiego and the zip code [FONT=geneva,helvetica,sans-serif]92110

If you've used any free rebids then the lockout period is now 24 hrs (used to be 72hrs).

If you're really desparate then you can have an acoount on both the US and UK site and so can your wife\partner. Use different credit cards and if possible different computers and it usually works.

Not so much of an issue now though as with good planning the lockout of 24hrs is fine.

    I see you've won a 4* already
