What a quiet weekend on the thread! Hope everyone's having a lovely one in the sunshine (if all your far flung locations are as sunny as London, obviously!).
Had a lovely one myself after all the family portrait drama. My cousins and I (and my bro) all get on really well so were just laughing all day and they live in a gorgeous house in the countryside outside Reading (Pangbourne, Monkey, just FYI!) so we were in the garden all day. There's 22 of us on that side so it was like that scene in The Godfather where they have that great big long table outside for lunch. They'd hired Sumo suits which was hilarious and had a pinata which the blokes took great delight in whacking the carp out of! When it got dark we released Chinese lanterns into the sky which was lovely. The family photo was excruiciating, taken by a professional tog who inevitably singled ME out to torment. He could tell I was uber uncomfortable. Quite how teasing me dreadfully in front of everyone was going to put me at my ease I've no idea but hey, it's over and done with thank goodness!
Watched Strictly that my parents had taped when we got home last night. Gawd I love that programme! I am so glad Richard Dunwoody went as well. He danced like a reanimated corpse.
Hoping for a better week this week. Last week was just awful - kept bursting into tears. Violent, hacking sobs when I was washing up and stuff. Ridiculous. Must try and be more positive this week. Got a lovely recipe from my mum that she made for the do yesterday which will be my offering in the recipe club! Yay!
Have a lovely evening all xxxxxxxxx

Morning All,
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I had a mega buzy one, but quite MSE.
BIL gave my car the once over and if it was MOT'd today it would fail on some small, not too expensive bits (he'll do them for me) but the doubtful points is I have some rust on the wheel arch. I've got to take it to garage today and ask their opinion - if its ok I'll MOT if its welding its scarp yard time! So fingers crossed please.
I stocked up the cupboards and Mrs Hubbard has moved out again.:j
Yesterday I was very MSE, made 4lb beetroot chutney, 4lb of apples pureed and in freezer, collected 1lb blackberries and made 3 chicken pies from cheap bits from Tesco, all in freezer now. Then made apple and blackberry buns and coffee cake. Felt very virtous.
Back to work today for a rest!! I wish:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Morning all!
Hope Tasha has a good holiday!
Well- I woke up yesterday with a coldso feeling a bit sorry for myself. Feeling a nudge better today than yesterday so hopefully having a lazy day to day will sort me out for work tomorrow. Bleurgh.
Had a few ebay items arrive this morning which was nice- it's like it's your birthday when a bunch of parcels drop on your mat!
Today was a CD of the 'best of the eagles' original 1985 version 'cos I used to have it on tape and loved it and a newer version wouldn't be 'right' if you know what i mean!
Also 100g of tandoori powder which smells very nice and spicy. Little annoyed as I couldn't find it in the supermarket to paid about £2 on ebay and then when shopping yesterday I found it in morrisons for about 60p! Grrrr - where were they hiding it when I wanted it
And well- nothing much else has happened. Oh, yeah. I had lost 1Ib when I weighed myself yesterday- which was not bad seeing as I had a bad start to the week (involved a packet of hobknobs, crisps and alcohol ) Still, getting there slowly.. hopefully will be at 7Ib off next week!0 -

Ooh, Pangbourne, very nice! I like Pangbourne, it's where my dream house is that we saw a few months back when we went to the cider place and orchard with my parents. Sadly I'm not rich enough to live there, but maybe someday! Glad you had a good time at the party, despite the photo ordeal. The photographer sounds like such a caring guy!
I'm feeling fed up today. I've realised I've miscalculated something somewhere on my budget so have got less than I thought, plus, have now got a £100 water bill to find pennies for. Whoops.
Hope everyone's having a good day. Have fun on holiday Tasha! And Ruby, fingers crossed this will be a better weeke for you xmuch work to be done - new sig coming soon...0 -

My next door neighbour invited me in for a drink at 11am the week before I went away, I thought tea, got offered Stella. In the hour and a half I was there she smoked 15 or so cigarettes. I mean I'm a smoker but Lord above it was minging. She's 52 but looks 68. JK would LOVE her.

RRRRRRIGHT THEN!!!!!
Again with my long absence sorry ladies. Ok so here's my catch up.
Rubes - your post above was so funny. I have no idea why you're so uncomfortable in front of the camera though - you're a gorge young lady with amazing cheekbones by the way. What have you decided about your hair? Glad you had a nice chilled weekend anyway. Sobs are allowed hun - everyone has one sometimes and it helps clear your mind (I sometimes go on for so long I give myself a headache although it's been a few weeks since I last cried). Job wise - maybe you should just take any job and then search for your dream one if you're getting bored of being unemployed? You might find you're more driven to by the fact that you'll be simply there to earn money. Just a thought.
Princess - I'm gonna PM you but glad you had a good brithday weekend hunnyAny more boy news?
Laura, Fuzz, Monkey and Tills - filmwise - I've never heard of Cluebut gonna get Gee to download it for me. I LOVE Willow - its the first film my mum took me to see in the cinema when I was three - apparently I didnt like the bit with the monkey that turned into a three headed monster (I still don't like that bit much) so mum bought me some maltesers to make me feel better
Loved all the carryons when I was little even though I didn't know what sex was!! heh heh.... Sorry to harp on about disnay but my favourite film of all time is still The Little Mermaid. yeah. Sad much?
Tills thanks for the recipe and I'm deffo going to try that out this week - will let you know. Your apply cupcakes sound awesome too! I made some more cookies yesterday - Ginger and dark choclate, and they've gone down a treat with everyone that's had one. I'm quite proud of myself
Tills glad kitty came back - this is why I don't think I could own one (even if they didn't nearly kill me) because I would get too upset when something like that happenned. Hope she's okay and nice and clean and snuggly now
Tash - can't remember if I replied to your email last week but hope you have a fab holiday and I want all the gossip over a glass of vino on your return!!
Where did Missy go did we scare her? Ooops
RM - new job should keep you entertained anyway :TNever heard of Vim but think that other bottle must be about 20 years old as I remember when I was little my nana had cleaning products with sainsburys price stickers on but I can't recall seeing one since then -so that's early nineties...
Oooh what else have I missed? I can't remember...
Well I don't have much to report. Got a bit loaded on at work now that they know I'm leaving and Thursday and friday last week were rediculous! I'm deliberatley taking it easy todaySaturday I went out shopping and girls I'm not even going to tell you how much I abused my credit card  but I'm taking a couple of things back today that didn't quite fit so that will make me feel better. Then saturday night I went out and managed to leave my phone in the pub  Got overly drunk and spent yesterday paying for it (I still don't feel good today) plus I think I've damaged my liver again which sucks. Drinking nothing but water and tea this week, promise.
Off to pretend to do some work! see you all in a bit xxEnd of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt

Hey dudes - Monday morning - hurrah:rotfl:
Rubes - glad the family time went well dude, and Ebs - good to see you!
DId anyone see the Princess Bride on Five yesterday - LOVE that film. One of my favs.
Laura - sorry you are feeling unwell dude, take it easy and enjoy the Eagles!;)- we have all been rough rough rough over the weekend. Stomach bugs, tonsilitis, dizzyness - its been one long party at my house:rolleyes:. I have made it to work, leaving all the ill people at home with OH on his day off :rotfl:but, not feeling too brilliant myself. I just don't want to eat which let me tell you is REALLY WEIRD. I can pick at stuff, but talk to me about a meal, and see a person go green within 10 seconds. IckOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been on for a bit - had to work all weekend (well, until 1pm yesterday, then had to take the rug rat to a 4th birthday party).
Hope you're all doing well - Tasha, hope you have a fantastic holiday.
Rupe - I adore Princess Bride; it's one of my favourite films - I recorded yesterday and can't wait to claim a few hours to myself so that I can watch it!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'
