Monkey - just had a good old nose at your profile and I am so excited. I don't know anyone else who has even seen the film Clue, let alone that can quote from it as extensively as me. Love it!!!! x

OMG!! I love that film, it's a complete classic. I have it on dvd!! :D My brother and I could probably act out pretty much the whole film off by heart. Sad - me? When we were little it was one of our selection of 'watch over and over and over again films'. We would literaly watch...rewind...watch again...rewind... One summer my cousins were over from America and the 4 of us watched it so many times that my grandad taped over the video so we couldn't watch it anymore . It's funny though, that when I got it on dvd and watched again for the first ime in ages, I realised how humour there is that we totally wouldn't have got when we were little - but we still thought it was hilarious. Some of our other faves were 'Oliver' and the film 'The Worst Witch' (also starring Tim Curry!). Aww, I'm actually very excited now to have found another Clue fan!!

Edited to add Laberynth and Willow to the list. Although, Willow proper used to freak me out, so I would always try not to really watch it properly, but my brother watched it loads, so I couldn't really avoid it :(
much work to be done - new sig coming soon...

OH MY GOD!!! That's exactly like me and my brother! We had it on video taped off the TV for years and watched it to death then last year my bro bought it for me on DVD! I almost wept, it's a CLASSIC. I totally agree about the fairly adult humour in it as well but that obviously didn't matter to us erudite children!

Couldn't watch Willow as it was too scary. Loved The Neverending Story though!

    Hi all,

Is Clue the one based on Cluedo also with the Doc from Back to The Future (love that too)? I'm sure I watched that a month or so ago, was a bit manic but fab! I love classic films, have you seen they have re-made Fame - ridiculous!

Hope everyone is having a good day, me, I have sat on my a$$ all day!

Haha, I love that film too - I don't think I have ever laughed so much at a film in the cinema!

How weird about you and your brother - spooky! And bless him for buying it for you, that's really sweet. I'm glad I'm not the only one who was scared of Willow. But I reallly was :o. The never ending story is really good though - good choice.

Swinstie - yup, it's the one based on Clue.
I have also sat on my a$$ all day. But never mind, that's what it's there for I guess :D

    On the film front:
    Loved:

    Labrynth
Willow (not scary at all you big softies!)
    The Goonies
Neverending Story -cried like stupid when the horse dies.

    Scared of:
The Dark Crystal- still freaks me out.

And other stuff but can't think now.

Also love Hot Fuzz and Sean of the Dead.
