Hi all- been quite busy at work today so didn't have time to go on at work. And err- now I have to go again 'cos I've just realised I have a doctors appointment in 20mins so should be on my way soon-ish. Not very soon, doctor's is only at the bottom of my road! (nothing intersting folks, just repeat prescription for Pill. Oh yeah, and a mole which is a bit dodgy)
So anyway, today has been duller than dull and I'm knackered after working all weekend. Still- only tomorrow to go then I can get a lie in
Having toad in the whole for tea tonight. Not very diet friendly, but better than loosing the plot and eating my body wait in carp which is what I really wanted to do today- so compromised and have eaten sensibly during the day and will have a big pile of veg with tea and only have a couple of sausages and a bit of yorkshire pudding! Ok- yes I am trying to justify it to myself :rotfl:
There is no biscuit of the day today for meBut I am thinking about Jaffa Cakes :rotfl:
I really should think about scooting off... I much prefer to be early than late.
Pop back later..0 -

Hi all,
Not had a chance to get on today! OH has just left, it's his birthday today and I got him a dvd (The Acid House) - an old, very weird Scottish film by Irvine Welsh and Billy Connolly tickets! He opened the card and was very quiet, got a bit worried but it turned out he was speechless with the tickets (BC is his favourite comedian), so phew!
Rubes, that painting is fab! I can draw (a bit) but haven't for years, but have never painted, wow. You should see if you can do more and sell them, honestly it was brill.
Hi to everyone else, can't remember all the goss but hope everyone is good. x0 -

Well I've had a sort of productive day. Nothing to do with jobs, despite emailing every agency I'm registered with (no one has anything available - scared? yes!!!!!!). Anyway, I've been painting and OMG I'm loving it. Haven't done any for about 10 years but have spent the entire afternoon totally in the zone with it. Gawd knows if it's any good and frankly that's not the point (results so far on FB if you're curious) because it was SO nice to take my mind of things for a while. Had to stop through hunger otherwise I'd have kept going. Do you think I can get paid to paint?!
Ebs - good luck to you with getting this job. Don't feel like you're selling out honey, a job's a job and there will be chances for you to follow your heart when the economy's picked up a bit. By the way, given my recent choices I do get the irony here but think of it as the voice of experience!
Monkey - glad to hear things are going well for you, too. Let us know what happens with the job! Tell me about it re weight, love. I am miserable but no matter what I try I can't stick to it. Am rubbish, I really am.Will be a porker forever I think.
RM - well done on the NSD! You put us to shame. Glad you had a good holiday too - you totally deserved it.
Fave bics? Toss up between Hob Nobs and those ginger ones with cream in the middle.
Saw your painting pics - very impressive :T It's nice that you've found something that makes you feel relaxed. Keep it up. If you really got into it, I don't see why you couldn't try and sell them, why not?
Rude, did you watch Waking the Dead?! I love it, it's so good. Boyd is acemuch work to be done - new sig coming soon...0 -
Morning All, Hope everyone is ok on this sunny morning.
OH and I decided on holiday that we need to have a frugal year(Sept - Sept) as we want to replace living room carpet, re-decorate the kitchen and living room, replace cars. My car is on death row, needs MOT and Taxing at end of month. We hope it will scrape through MOT and then I can hang onto it for a year, then scrap mine and have OH's and he have new one. BIL is going to check mine out before we attempt MOT! So fingers crossed on that one.
So I'm taking MSE to a new level - it's becoming an art form:j.
