Rude- lol that's the guys actual job. I used to work for voda! They search forums for vodafone comments etc to try and be helpful to customers and sort out there probs as well as trying to big up the company.
Laura- well done on weight loss that is fab!! I have been so bad this week and put on weight, dreading seeing my health trainer tomorrow. I've not done pointing for nearly 2 weeks!!Be your own superhero :j0 -

Afternoon All, I'm back. Had a great holiday and pretty good weather all week. We kept in budget, in fact under budget so are quite chuffed. Am really tired now but do feel rested if that makes sense.
Was really shocked PL paid me a weeks holiday money!! I thought maybe she'd become my MSE stalker and found all I'd said on here!
Have caught up with all the news and glad everyone's ok.
Princess: Hope you ok and a bit less stressed. Hugs.
Pasties for dinner tonight and a glass of red then early night I thinks. Proper posts tomorrow.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Hello lovely ladies!!!!!!
Just typed a huuuuuuge post then lost it which is beyond annoying. Here's what I can remember!
Despite the fact that where I've just been makes Brixton look like a wet Wednesday in Beirut and that being back here means I have to face up to my status as one of the millions of unemployed people, I have decided to be CHEERFUL. Oh yes, no post holiday blues for Ruby! No, siree. Well, not many...
Princess - darling I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time but you just can't blame yourself for what's happening. Your mum chose to be with your dad and you were the result and frankly, she must have known that this day was likely to come. You have every right to be involved with your dad if you so wish and you really can't beat yourself up about this any more. As far as your mum's financial situation is concerned, well again - it's not something you can beat yourself up for. Of course you love her and care about her but you must look out for yourself too otherwise you'll turn round in 10 years time and wonder what the hell happened. Be strong honey, there are good things ahead for you, I just know it.
Ebs - being the rampant narcissist that I am, out of all the pages I've just read, your dream about ME sticks in my memory! Glad to know I was in your head anyway. Any news on jobs?
Speaking of which - Tilly! Gutted! Can't believe you're not going to be in the Dole Queue Dolls! I've had outfits made and everything and lined up a gig at a working men's club in Bolton! Seriously, well done you lovely lady, you completely deserve this break. Good for you and fingers crossed that OH's break aint far behind.
Laura - 5lb, you fox! Well done. I had a v healthy week in Cornwall (no cream teas or ice cream & lots of walks) but am about to ruin it all with a pizza. Bovvered? Well, not tonight, no.
Rupe - please change your name to 'Rude34' immediately. I need that in my life.
Fuzzled, Monkey, RM, Swinstie, Redstar, and anyone I've forgotten - HELLO!
RR - happy birthday for last week, blossom. Sending big love. Oh and Princess is right, you are THE foxiest 46 year old!
My dad has given me a load of acrylic paints and brushes and I'm going to try and start painting again. I used to paint a lot and did part of an art GNVQ at college before I dropped out to become a receptionist, learn how to drive and go out with a guy that already did (hey, look how THAT turned out). Am hoping to soothe my stressed out brain with art therapy and if that doesn't work I'm just going to try basket weaving.Sealed Pot Challenge 2009 # 650 (target £150)Long Haul Supporters # 158 debt free 2014Member of the Blondettes :beer:Debt Free Date: doesn't bear thinking about!0 -
Wether rupe changes her name or not she will now be known in this thread as rude34. No arguments. hehe
Rubes- I am proper gutted about not being in the DQDs, Will have to save my n1pple tassles for another day!!!!Be your own superhero :j0 -
Hi all! Just catching up before bed-
Glad to see RM and Ruby back! Bet you two drived past each other on the motorway back from Cornwall :rotfl:
And RM- way to go on holiday pay!Maybe PL's afraid your going to leave and so has deceided to treat you like a normal employee rather than a skivvy! About blimming time!!
Went to the cinema tonight with OH (also to MaccyD's first- well, Sunday's is my day off) to see Gamer. It was ok- but a bit of a boy's film. I tend to get in 1 or 2 'boy's films' during a year so I can make him go to one or two girly films with me
(This year will be New Moon when it come sout in Nov. I like the Twilight books and the film was ok last year. Even OH said it wasn't as bad as he expected! :rotfl:)
We had some boiled sweets at the cinema (bear with me, I have a point). When we got home I looked at the flavour of these apparently fruit flavoured sweets. As follows:
Lemon
Applle (sic)
orange
Blackberry (so far so good)
Rose?? Hmm, Isn't that a flower?
Cinnamon Ok....
Peppermint- Now I know that's not a fruit...
Banana- yep. Back to fruit...
Together. Together???!!!
Handkerchief. Handkerchief??? !!!!!! is handkerchief flavour?? I am so not eating the green ones
OH then announced he got them in the poundshop. That explains a lot :rotfl:
Well, that's me done for today. Still 2 days until I have a day off..I think I'm going to be sleepy by then

And your weekend sounds fab, vino + chinese = Heaven for me:D Think I'm getting old lol
And hobnobs are lurrvely, but I can't eat them anymore, I end up laughing my head off coz all I can think of is Peter Kay standing there shouting 'DUNK ME......DUNK ME AGAIN' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Rubes & RM glad you're back sweeties, hoe you had a fabulously relaxing time and YAY for being under budget RM:T
Oh and YAy for PL actually being normal for once in her priveleged life:rolleyes::D
Can't think of what else has been said tbh:o I'm pre-occupied with the thoughts of cheese:o I'm becoming obsessed, not had any and would kill for some speciality cheese, possibly the ones from Morrisons:)
DH doesn't like cheese unless it's melted on a pizza and I won't buy cheese just for me coz 1. Its an expense thats not needed and 2. I inhale the stuff and so not good for the waistline:rolleyes:
But by 'eck I may have to give in:o:o How sad is that??? lol
Anyways hope all had a good weekend and I'll catch up later. Looks like work is FINALLY picking up for the time being, good in a work sense but not so good for lurking on MSE:rolleyes:
