  • Good morning world! The weekend is over boo. And to add to the glumness, it's the first day of Autumn today. Woot.

Anyway! Welcome back RM and Rubes, much missed loves, don't keep going on holidays!! But glad you enjoyed yourselves and are feeling better for it. Cornwall did wonders for me :D

So my weekend... well after my rant on here on Sat afternoon I gave up and wrote out the cookies recipe but didn't make anything else as I ran out of time - we were going out for Gee's birthday at half 5. We went to wagammamamamaamaas and I had the best cheescake ever for pudding. Seriously ever. It was amezzin. Then we went dancing and I met a boy of the tender age of 19 :o we had a snog but that's about it. Seriously what's wrong with me? I'm such a cradle snatcher these days :rotfl:
Sunday I worked (obviously) with a humungous hangover but I did get a tip of a fiver from one kindly gentleman :D

And that's it! Now it's monday again.

Does anyone remember when I first joined Blondies thread that I used to put my biscuit of choice every day up? Well that's because I'M ADDICTED to biscuits. Rediculously so. Today I am munching gingernuts and also the cookies I made (white choc and cherry... nom.)

Princess glad you are in better spirits hun and yes I know what you mean - I don't own any jumpers either! I might have to splash out a bit now it's actually officially allowed to start getting cold.

Rubes we should really be asking how YOUR job search is doing? I've got a third interview for the job at my Big Yellow Insurance company today - I am a bit scared though as I'm properly selling my soul if I take it - it's nothing to do with events and Ireally wanted to stay doing that now. But I can't afford not to take it really, it's a five grand instant pay rise, plus I get to stay at the company - and whilstsoever I'm there I can just take my time applying for events jobs as and when they come up, I suppose. Still :o

Must do some work! Back later peeps xx

  • Right. That's it. I'm definitely writing to HSBC. They've just notified me they intend to take another £150 out my account next month for going over my overdraft - taking the total up to £600 this year :mad::eek::mad::eek:

Not gonna happen. Writing to demand the whole lot back. (Or you know, half, or something.)

    Barstewards.

Ebs, if ou don't write to them now after that, I'll come round there and poke you in the eye with a fish. There is a template on this site that I used, so you don't even need to think up what to write, just put your details into the template.

Ruby & RM, glad you had a good time on holibobs. Rubes, I saw your pics, that place looks lovely - I have informed bf that we MUST go there.

Laura, well done on the weightloss, you've been so good! I have been sooo bad. And now I'm cross with myself again. If someone could just bar all access to cr*ppy food, I'd be fine. Why can someone not do that?

So, I had my interview this morning, if you can call it that, turned out to be more of a chat. But anyways, they want me to do it, so, all being well, I think I've got a job. I want to be all excited, bit I can't really, 'cos it could all still go wrong if my current project decide to be awkward. So guess I'll just have to wait and see.
much work to be done - new sig coming soon...

Well done Laura on the weight loss.
Princess: Glad you sound more cheerful and have decided to tell your Mum, that's half the battle.
Ruby: Glad you had good holibob in Cornwall - it is a very theraputic place.
Monkey and Ebbs: Hope you get the job.
Tilly: Glad you also got the job. Did you see on breakfast tv about ladies making cupcakes, started like you and now supplying the stars! I thought yours looked better.

Hey dudes - the Rudemeister is here - ha ha:D

Can you belive I came back to work in order to go on the net, as I cannot get near my computer at home. Rugrats back at school, homework (yeah yeah) - sometime around 9.30pm the computer will be free - BUT Waking the Dead is on tonight.

ANYWAY - was just checking in and saying :hello:

Today was busy busy - but good actually. Way better than I was expecting. Some meetings which actually achieved things! x

Biscuit of the day.....mmm dark chocolate digestives mmm. Unfortunately they were out in the office and I couldn't scoff as I would have done at home.

  • Hi ladies!

Well I've had a sort of productive day. Nothing to do with jobs, despite emailing every agency I'm registered with (no one has anything available - scared? yes!!!!!!). Anyway, I've been painting and OMG I'm loving it. Haven't done any for about 10 years but have spent the entire afternoon totally in the zone with it. Gawd knows if it's any good and frankly that's not the point (results so far on FB if you're curious) because it was SO nice to take my mind of things for a while. Had to stop through hunger otherwise I'd have kept going. Do you think I can get paid to paint?!

Ebs - good luck to you with getting this job. Don't feel like you're selling out honey, a job's a job and there will be chances for you to follow your heart when the economy's picked up a bit. By the way, given my recent choices I do get the irony here but think of it as the voice of experience!

Monkey - glad to hear things are going well for you, too. Let us know what happens with the job! Tell me about it re weight, love. I am miserable but no matter what I try I can't stick to it. Am rubbish, I really am. :( Will be a porker forever I think.

RM - well done on the NSD! You put us to shame. Glad you had a good holiday too - you totally deserved it.

Fave bics? Toss up between Hob Nobs and those ginger ones with cream in the middle.
