Totally agree. A little bit of what you fancy (with the emphasis on little) does you no harm at all, its when you over-indulge every day that problems start!0 -
Not in any particular order as I'm not good at sticking to days but I know what I'll be having at some point during the week. Veg will be whatever I get out of the garden or is in the freezer and dessert is either fresh fruit, icecream or homemade windfall and bramble cakes or crumble if I have time.
- Sunday - Roast chicken ect
- Fish pie or cakes, using up some not so special Asda salmon cutlets and haddock fillets.
- Chicken risotto or Canerderli (chicken dumplings in broth) if it looks like being a miserable day
- Roast bacon joint and trimmings
- leftovers of which will end up a Mexican style black bean stew
- Pasta with meat sauce
- Paella - with tuna, handful of prawns and leftover chicken
- Vegetable and dal biryani

Sorry I'm late. There seems to be a thousand and one things to do this week! Anyway, here's mine:
Sunday: Pasta Bolognese (making double to freeze) and homemade bramble crumble for pud
Monday: We're most likely out, so if we need anything we'll have slices of gammon with some potato wedges and salad.
Tuesday: Most likely at my Mum's
Wednesday: Omelettes with a choice of filling
Thursday: Toad in the Hole with Beans
Friday: Homemade Sweet and Sour Chicken with Noodles (making double to freeze half)
Saturday: Out at a party
Sunday: Something quick or lazy, so possibly a cheese and ham pancake bake.
Lunches are going to be sandwiches, mostly filled with the gammon ham I bought on Friday. There's a packet of sandwich beef in the fridge in case DH fancies a change. Desserts - well, there's another couple of mini crumbles in the freezer that I've made, and we went blackberrying today so there's fodder for another ten or so (when I buy some cooking apples). If crumble isn't what we fancy, I've a mind to make a pineapple upside down cake, or there are a couple of rice puddingy things in the fridge. Breakfasts - cereal as usual.
See you all next week

Something really strange happened this morning...we were on our way to the supermarket and OH started talking about getting meals for the whole week, at last! We have done our best, getting main stuff, I will just need to go out for fresh veg and milk when we need it.
We are having (in no particular order)
Chicken wings, baked pots and salad
Belly pork, baked pots and veg
Spaghetti bolognese
Roast Chicken and all trimmings
HM beefburgers
Beef stir fry
We have bought a big pack of rolls which have been split up for our lunches each day and we have pate, beef and ham to go in those with plenty of fruit.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1530/£2700
