Lots of seriously yummy sounding meal plans again this week - I particularly fancy your saag aloo and pilaf, Boodle!
Anyhoo (sorry, I've been working with an American lady at work and it's catching!) - here's mine:
Tonight - sausage and baked bean casserole with bread and butter, and lots of tomato ketchup (it's been a bad week and I feel a need to regress to childhood)
Saturday - pizza (freezer) and salad
Sunday - cheese-stuffed, bacon wrapped chicken (chicken and bacon from freezer) with roast veg, followed by Eve's pudding and ice cream (probably followed by indigestion, I suspect!)
Monday - roast bacon-wrapped sausages with apple, and carrot and potato mash
Tuesday - cheese & onion crispbakes (from freezer) with spicy tomato sauce
Wednesday - tuna cheese plait and salad
Thursday - cream cheese and veg pasta bake
Have a good week, peeps!Back after a very long break!0 -
Sun - DS1 having friends over for his birthday so will be pizzas all round (HM of course :A)
Mon - Salmon and couscous
Tue - Spaghetti with cream cheese and peas
Wed - Sausage and potato bake
Thu - Fish Pie
Fri - Jacket potato with corned beef & spring onion with HM quiche
Sat - Pies / pasties with oven chips and mushy peas
Lunches for me will be lentil soup and HM bread, left-over sausage & potato bake, pasta salad, sandwiches etc.
The freezer is running down nicely and I *really* need to de-frost soon
Have a good week everyone
ETA: Just got my 100th post...yay!!!Anywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!0 -
Here's ours. A very hurried affair and not terribly well thought out but using up freezer foods to start a fresh after my hols.
No particular running order - just as we feel like this week.
Tuna Plait with baked beans
Roast lamb with all trimmings and garden veg
Creamy lemon/garlic chicken and pasta with garlic bread and salad
Steak pudding with garden veg. (Trying Blacksaturn's SC recipe)
Pork chops, HG new pots and garden veg
Spaghetti bolognaise with garlic bread. (must use glutting tomatoes some how!)
Cheesy bubble & squeak with poached egg.
Big plan is to use loads of potatoes, onions, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, garlic etc from the garden before we go away and save some pence for my happy hols.
Can't wait to pack my bucket and spade - mind way weathers going with the rain I'll probably need to wear that on my head. :rolleyes:AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250
