I think a big part of the battle with OS is getting a partner on board, must make life so much easier when you're both 'singing from the same hymn sheet' as my old boss would say!
Welcome to the newbies :j good luck with your first challenge!
Sun is shining here, lets hope it lasts! I'm retired now but I remember all those summers when the sun shone beautifully during working hours and rain arrived just in time for the weekend ... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hi all. Please put me down for £100 for September this is for me and my expensive cat.
Budget breaks down as follows:
Veg Bag, 1 a week £32
Monthly cat food/medication £30
Extra spends £9 per week.
This month I'm going to take out my £100 at the beginning and keep it in a separate money bag, hoping this will make it easier to track.
Mind you, my budget is only possible thanks to the coupon thread and my coupon friendly Mr T's :T
My aim for this monthy is to use up all the stuff in my freezer - cause there is loads of it.
Good luck everyone0 -
Hi all, thanks to everyone involved for the thread and the recipes. I am in for the 2nd month running and would like to aim for £430.00 - reducing my current spend by £10.00 a week to start with.

hi everyone
Mrs. Mc could you please put Highland Fling down for £180 for September GC.
Have stuck with same figure for the last few months as I am managing o.k. most months with that. It also allows me to stock up on bargains for store cupboards etc. without worrying about going over budget too much.
Will also start soon to stash away a few non-perishable items for Christmas and that helps take the pressure off during the festive season.
My thoughts are with all those who are truly struggling in this time of recession and those who are facing redundancy and job losses. I remind myself often that although my job is far from perfect it is one I still enjoy and is relatively secure. It takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0
