    As soon as you buy to sell you become a business so you are, in fact, trading as a personal seller when you should be registered as a business.

    does crafts come under this too? cos anything i buy for my hobby which i have no intention of selling until someone sees it and wants it.

    As Steve said there are some very strange people out there and you have to be a little naive or just stupid to use the same username on boards as you do on ebay. I don't even use the same name on different forums i am a member of. A little bit of paranoia can same a lot of agro in the future

    That's the first time I have seen the note requesting a change to business seller. So, it does happen that ebay will force it through, that is interesting.

    Of course the bit that people don't get (too busy cheating HMRC I suppose) is as someone mentioned from that thread:

    Here is an irony, if you had been registered as a business, you would have paid ebay less than you have been doing.
