  • I'm awak and here - still waiting for OH to moan and do all the recriminations but he is focusing on the position we could be in 6 years time with savings in the bank and that we CAN turn it all around. Don't feel quite so alone with it all now!

Bummer about the computer, I know nothing about hardware/drives etc - OH has a huge one we back up photos and songs on but no idea how it works. Are they expensive to replace?

Will edit the spreadsheet when I'm at work tomorrow and then send it to you. There is one way that I can do it, if you sign up for a google email I can "share" it with you that way and you get it online. Does that make sense? Shall I pm you?

I already have a google address, but have never used the app thing. If we do that can I only use it online, or can I download it and use it on my laptop as I'm going along? I'm ok with internet access 24/7 here at the minute, but there have been incidences in the past when internet access has been interrupted due to roadworks...

P.S. Just flash the spreadsheet at OH if he gets tetchy! ;) I think you guys will be fine, though....x

HI IMD - congratulations on the payrise- that is brilliant news!

Great news that your OH has lifted his head out of denial and is getting with the programme - I am sure it will make a massive difference....

I am sure you will have blips along the way - just get back on the wagon again afterwards!

You an get decent ones for less than £100, but that's still less than £100 which I don't really have. :( Plus, if I keep breaking them at this rate, I won't be able to afford to keep rebuying them, and then there's the question of the data which was on them in the first place, which was important to start with. The main one I have now stands up, so I want to get a flat on next which means that I can put it on the floor when using it and it will be less likely to fall over and crash.

Wow what a day and a night I have had!

The payrise has given me a huge boost and OH was really upbeat about it.

So it has been a long time coming, I have been very very worried about it, but I have finally sorted it and OH is very very upbeat about it and positive for the future. Normally he dwells but I think he has finally accepted some responsibility for what has happened.

    So, onwards and upwards!!!!!!! :j:j:j

    :T:T:T:T:T Hurray!!!

There is definitely strength in numbers. I look forward to seeing that sig flying down now ;)
  • Well let's hope things can change now :) Think him being fully focused will help me as well. He has no idea of our financial expenditure through his own unwillingness to talk to me about it which has made it easy for me to spend money without justification - I now cannot do that and neither can he!

Bought my packed lunch into work today, gym (free with work) at lunchtime and we have cancelled an evening out we had planned tonight to concentrate on ebay :D Also going to do a shopping list and menu plan for lunches and dinners.

I feel far more focused, particularly because he has set out what position we could be in in 6 years and that in 11 years we could be mortgage and debt free with savings and that is without any pay rises - this would tie in with the youngest leaving school and give us a whole new freedom!!

On the work front, they said that I could have a further payrise early next year if I further my qualifications and it will be more than this payrise, so inspiration indeed to get off my bum!

So onwards, upwards and in it together!!

re friend, I know exactly how you feel, since duncan died i've just wanted to know that he is ok. why not arrange to go to a medium evening just to view and make your own decision on whether a one to one would make things better for you?

I have a feeling that she would be so happy to talk to you that telling you off would be the last thing on her mind. ;) xxx

If she did tell you off for being silly, would that not be the reassurance that you need that she is ok and where she needs to be?
