Thank you you lot
Have had a few (read lots of hormonal frustrated) tears with OH about how I sometimes feel like I am hitting my head against a brick wallOH now feels carp about the tickets and that wasn't really my intention, I just want him to talk to me about money and ask before we buy stuff.
He has suggested that we do use some of the Balance Transfer to pay for the car bill and get ourselves straight for January as a fresh start, but that means my signature will go up and I feel slightly obsessive about changing my signature.....I see the sense it is, but it feels such a backwards step.
On the positive, I kicked my own behind and have wrapped 70% of the presents and will get it finished tonight, so slightly clearer mind. I also ate a LOT of chocolates during the process after discovering a surplus box of Milk Tray
Will take a piccy of my tins later all lined up and ready for the New Year blitz! It looks very exciting - my tins are for:- Car Insurance, Car Tax, Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Xmas, Kids Birthdays (born same month), Emergency fund (car repairs!!!) - should have an extra £90 which will go into savings account for immediate access! So even if I've been a bit pants this month Jan should bring a whole new start......

Up bright and early - had a very cold but good 6 mile run to clear away the cobwebs and the stress and feeling better about life this morning. If I HAVE to increase my debt in order to gain some control then sobeit! I have decided to keep back a small amount of the BT and then see what my wage slip brings in December, if it is nice and healthy (as promised) then I can pay more off the CC and not have to keep as much of the BT back.
All presents are wrapped, going to do xmas cards today and then got a few things to do.
I really really have to get the new dog a new bed as he has grown so so much, spent ages on the internet and then found one cheap as chips in the market yesterday so will get that one instead.

Hi IMD. Thanks for your kindness. Have PM'd you. Glad you feel better today. Life is just tough sometimes and having a family is mega expensive! But feel sure you will overcome and get straight, you've made so much progress already after all. Here's to 2010 and the tin regime!!

Hi IMD, just want to add how well you are doing. It's being aware of it all that is half the battle I think! Anyway, just want to say Im with you re the tins. I am starting two, one for Xmas 2010, the other for loose change to then put towards debt. One of the things Ive noticed re my spending is that I am still buying a bar of choccie when I get petrol etc or if Im tired etc. That can be 65/75 p a time so that is happening no more of this week. That money will be going into my tins instead. And I should feel a lot healthier in the bargain. Good luck, stay positive and focused, you are doing so well!My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T0 -
PAF - completely with you on the chocolate thing! Amazing how it all adds up when you think about it as well.
The tin regime it is indeed. My plan has been ever so slightly thwarted by youngster IMD who decided to count his spending money and deposit it in my "emergency fund" tin. He was fairly distraught when I explained the can was sealed, can openers etc etc so he is now the proud owner of MY tin so he can save for something special  Bless him though, he was trying to think of ways to get it out when he thought he might never ever get his money back.
Have written a cheque for the car bill and so one more thing off my chest. Actually get paid on 18th Dec so we only have two weeks to cope and then can re-assess situation.
Nelmer - I have a Labrador and Springer. Springer is 8 and not too impressed to be pestered by a puppy but they seem to quite love each other. Had a lovely run with them this morning as I love to see them just bomb off together, best of all they seem to sleep for the rest of the dayThey are an added expense and maybe in hindsight getting a puppy wasn't the most economical thing to do but we all love him and he is just part of the family now - and as you say, they make you realise that life is alright!
Off to paint nails and then bed. Just been given some new anti-biotics today and they have made me really really nauseous. Packet says to take on an empty stomach but pretty sure I will throw up soonLooked on internet and loads have people said they take food with them or they are sick.......joy of joys

Please don't worry about your debt going up temporarily, if it makes you feel better, don't alter your sig until it has gone up and then back down again!
I think you are doing brilliantly and I love the start of a new year - It is a great time to take all those intentions and kick their butts!
You have made me really want to start up the running again, so I have booked a doctors appointment for next wednesday to see if i can find out what my problem is xEmergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0
