Finalised Xmas shopping today and sorted out what OH was going to buy me as well so we are completely sorted :j Financial nightmare next month but hey ho will deal with it all.
A friend who is a roofer is coming to look at the roof for us so hopefully we won't get ripped off!
Family plans this weekend and out on Sunday with OH's work which we can't really get out of as apparently "it will be good for his career" but not our pocket  His boss is going so he wants to impress so have reluctantly agreed.

Hi IMD - Well done on the christmas organising. I'm so far behind with it all...
Totally understand the work thing, OH is the same, when he goes away the budget is always ruined - but if he didn't socialise with work folk he wouldn't succeed so much. As you're going, try not to worry about the money too much and enjoy it! If you don't, then it will be doubly irritating to spend the cash and not have fun!

Good news about the potential bonus - at least that will tide you over and maybe help make some extra payments.
I also get paid a week early next month, which generally makes for a bleak January. No chance of a bonus for me until March though :rolleyes:0 -
