    :hello: I have seen you on here, will have to go and find your diary :)

    Freezing this morning so lots of layers - went to Mr T's and got supplies for work this week. We have been so busy this weekend that we forgot to do any shopping and OH has decided that instead we shall try and manage with what we have. Slightly perturbed by this as it usually means £20 at the Co-Op so he has been warned if he is out at the shop every day then he had to do a proper weekly shop! I have a few days holiday this week so no doubt I will be having to do the shopping :rolleyes:

    Need to get motivated to get some work done. Nothing won yet on BB again :( I am due a win surely!

    :eek: warning - there's going to be a lot of them!!

    Today the post delivered:-

    £180 car bill :eek::eek::eek:
    Football tickets purchased by OH without my prior consent or knowledge for £55 :eek::eek::eek:

    Why oh why oh why oh why - I get myself organised, set a budget and it all goes wrong :(

    Have done a BT to pay balance off another card but if I'm being honest I'm going to HAVE to use some of this money to contribute to the car bill. Tickets I can manage as we have no need to spend anything this week but very annoyed. Feel so tight though, he wants to take the kids to do something nice and they are all excited and he thought it would be ok - and there's old nasty me nagging about money :( all the time :(

    Sat amongst piles of presents and wrapping paper and no energy to do them and drinking tea instead!

    Bonus was that I won £15 on BB this morning :j and all my money tins arrived and I have labelled them ready for money to be distributed next year and organisation to follow.

    I am not surprised you have no energy - you are still in the "discovery" phase of how all these MSE/non-MSE-OH things affect us. Juggling all those balls in the air, and putting all your energy into getting sorted, and yet other people don't have the same level of desire to join in as you have.

    So, the presents will wait another day........and the tea will be a welcome distraction, I am sure!

    Hi IMD

    It's just a small set back. The car bill could have been much worse and if you have to use a card, then so be it. Don't beat yourself up about it.

    I cried the other week when DH threw away the other half of some Quorn mince bolognese I was saving for the next day's lunch. He looked at me like I'd gone mad! :rotfl:

    The main thing is that your attitude (and that of your OH to a point) has completely changed - so you are already well on the road to debt freedom :T I truly believe that is half the battle.

    Keep going, it'll soon be a New Year and this time next year, you'll be in a much happier place :)
  • Small set back which you will overcome. It happens and realising that it does but you do get back on track is most of the battle to be honest. It still happens to us at times!!

    Deep breath in, out, smile and focus and remind yourself how far you've come already:cool:
