hi IMD - hope that things are brighter this week for you. The sun is certainly shining where we are - it got up to 14 degrees today!

I would look at other ways to raise money before getting part time job although sometimes I think it would be quicker and easier than surveys, bingo etc

Hypno - you're right (as normal) - I have barely enough time as it is with working full time so it would be a push, if things are that we can still make all minimum payments I suppose it's not urgent yet!

BTD - sorry to hear about the car - you have my sympathies - completely carp isn't it!

Had a lovely day, bribed kids with housework and we have an absolute spic and span house, all washing done and I just need to iron it. Then had a mammoth bike ride with the kids which was really good fun and free - kids loved it. They're now with grandparents for a few days. There was me thinking me and OH could spend some time together, go to pictures together. He has just stumbled in and without even an hello said he's playing golf  can't even understand why I'm annoyed. Am rising above it though and going to start the ironing and make dinner (I never ever ever cook) and make a lovely dinner and make him feel guilty instead - haha!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Need to find some carbo loading food to make now.....

    BAH to unthinking OHs.......

But HURRAH to having a spic and span house - DS has friends for a sleepover.....so you can imagine the state of my place  I will be retreating upstairs with my laptop shortly so that I don't have to worry about just how bad it can all get! I'm going to work on the basis of "what I don't see can't hurt me" or something along those lines!

Just remembered my list from the other week:-

    (1) [STRIKE]- cancel old car insurance, just realise I forgot [/STRIKE]
    (2) - ring Bank to see where my savings book is as I want to see a book with credit in it for a change
    (3) - do a bin bag challenge and find things to sell
    (4) - contemplate cleaning out my wardrobe as I have far too many clothes to wear and could make a profit from disposing of some
    (5) [STRIKE]- remember to do my leg stretches in order to avoid any frantic frenzy about not being able to run![/STRIKE]

Very very poor effort by moi - must do at least the second thing tomorrow.

In relation to task 1 I am now very angry - yet again! Policy was only about a month old, paid for in full. Tried to move new car onto policy but told I couldn't and then the new policy quote was huge! Two people from insurance company said I'd have to pay £40 cancellation fee which is ok I suppose.

Finally cancelled it today and they have taken 40% of the premium :eek::eek: They have therefore charged me about £150 for car insurance for less than a month. Have written and faxed very very snotty letter to them - what an absolute daylight robbery and none of this told to me by the advisors until today!

So yet another battle I have to take on with greedy barstewards...
