Quick update on life in my land:-

Car Insurance people acknowledged my complaint and are allocating it, hmmmm whilst someone is gaining interest on my £150 I bet!

£200 moved to joint account to make up car shortfall :j:j

Another battle, this time with BUPA in relation to treatment received - but I am fairly confident I'll win this one.

Hmmm, no more battles on the horizon I don't think?

Probably going to win the lottery tonight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

8 days to the marathon :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Fantabulous day out with the kids and OH yesterday all courtesy of Mr T! We had a brilliant time, hardly spent anything, sun shone all day and kids had a fantastic time - Aldi based picnic and ice creams bought as a treat.

So all in all not much going on in life - off to sort out my finance drawer now - such fun!

  • IMD good luck for the marathon. I reeaallly admire you doing it, I know just how much effort it takes with work, kids, debtbusting etc.

Don't worry re the training tapering - my OH's running buddy had to have a whole month off pre Paris as he had a tendon problem but he still completed it, slower natch but he did it which is what matters. You're not injured, you're following your plan and you'll do a good time, am sure.

Mr R ran 10 mins faster in Paris than London last year so he v pleased but now wants to be sub 4 hrs.....maybe in Berlin (Oct) or Barcelona (March 2011)....I don't mind as the weekends away are good.....

And well done on the £170 raised, I need to try harder I think to bring in extra and not just stick to my plan......then it will go quicker!

Thank you for all the good luck wishes :) Am too busy cacking it to do much else and it has even taken my mind off money!

Have managed to sell some stuff on ebay in job lots and so have moved another £200 to the joint account :j which will go back into savings to cover what we didn't put in and then I need to raise the holiday money. OH thinks he may be in for a pay rise and just waiting for a phone call so fingers crossed.

Spoke to the insurance company and they are looking into the matter re the car but they still have my money so will have to keep chasing them

Another fantastic thing is we decided to get a bike rack for the car, so I advertised on freecycle last night and have managed to get one for free :j Even a few months ago I would have happily gone and paid £100 for one and now I have it for free :j Means we can get out with the kids and their bikes easier now. We're going to advertise for a roof box as well and see if we can get one.

I will have a quick nosey around and then return to my life of taper madness and convincing myself that I have every injury ever possible to have, broken legs, knee caps, broken toes......
