Really? well if you said it, then it must be true
I am not sure why you're picking on healy's post but what he says makes sense. I have great respect for his posts and if you don't like them, then ignore them.

Pleased that you agree, I thought you did not want to talk to me anymore, now you are looking more ridiculous!

Yes I have a feeling it maybe.

I just find it crazy that someone starts a conversation and then wants you to stop replying, then denies they started the conversation (which is a lie) and then continues to post!

Inspite of saying I was off, I'm still here, listening. Threads like this don't get stopped unless they get out and out offensive. Failure to acknowledge commom sense is not a reason to lock a post.
However the longer it goes on, (and one party always wants the last word), the bigger the idiot the one of them appears. Why oh why can folks not agree to disagree?

Anyone know any gracious winning exits from posts like this/ apart from the obvious offensive ones;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

The thing is Cyclonebri the benefits board is not a discussion board only meant for help with benefit questions not for debates on benefit policies. This is why we are keen for it to be locked.

Well one idea would be to move it to the discussion board, another would be to get it back on track.. Or another would be to let it run so others can get a more useful idea of what weight to give evidence.

Getting it back on track would be good, how about all posters go back through the threadd and re-read looking for posts where they have stated things, and clear evidence to the contrary has been published, yet they have not yet acknolwedge this.

In fact, healy, for for example, it would give more weight to your arguments (which is now needed as a failure to give any indication of where your knowledge is from means it could be from anywhere, or nowhere, or you could have something to hide, it causes a lack of credibility) if you went back to all those posts claiming false things (where you thanked them) and read the evidence posted and stated whether you still agree with the thanks now proof of the error of the thanks was given.

Hint, start with taping of medicals, and the right to use as evidence, but go through the thread, there may be more.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

  • I think it has gone too far to keep it on track and should be locked.

Perhaps you could start another thread minus the conspirary theories and scare stories as it puts people off posting on here, you should see my in-box!

Im sure if the admins notice a verifiable drop in postings in this area they will act, hoewever, they may well be seeing an increase as google picks up on the topics and others with the same problems come in to share them.

But this thread is not debating benefit policies, it is debating problems people have with benefits, its covering people real experiences of the system, and other peoples statements of the system based on, er we dont know as they wont give us any idea...

It covers issues that can help people in the same situation, we are not sitting discussing politics, the thread is about what happens at medicals, peoples real life experiences, hints and tips, things to be aware of, how to appeal, what to watch out for etc.
