Stupidspender wrote:QueenB you seem to be equally as judging on this matter? indeed lets get the hanging party out ready for Petes mum!
I am looking forward to the day when people taking responsibility for their own actions returns as a personal quality in this country.
I personally don’t subscribe to the blame someone else routine as a attractive trait in a person.
Do i really?
I don't tend to judge others, but if someone wants to openly and rudely judge someone then they leave themsleves open for others to judge.
Personally i don't find someone being rude to someone in a very difficult and maybe somewhat dangerous position as an attractive trait as a person.
As i said earlier HH and her OH have taken responsibility for most of their situation, maybe you, like Vegaskitty, should go back and re-read the whole thread.
This is a place where many people come and bravely open up, hostility only makes that more difficult and may turn some people away who have no one else to turn to. As far as i can see i have not meet anyone on here who has not taken responsibilty for their actions, there are ways to point others flaws and state your opinions without be so judgemental, there is also a little thing called empathy.Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. and dinkylou, you are grossly mistaken, I have offered the best & most valuable advice anyone can give. Take responsibility for your own actions & don't rely on others. Perhaps, just perhaps, if everyone would do precisely that they there would not be a need for this particular forum.0

So why are you posting here then Kitty, only to offer everyone the benefit of your undoubted wisdom or just to slag everyone off who would like advice? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
VegasKitty wrote:no, my apologies 'queenb' it will make it all soooo much better for them if we all baby them & pretend like they did nothing to bring this whole thing on themselves. & that they are the victims, won't it??
that’s really what this person & all the others like her need isn’t it? Everyone else feeling sorry for them & giving them the deluded impression that its all right to spend like a banshee, without constraint or consideration for the consequences, as opposed to the infinitely more difficult route of taking responsibility for your own life & choices.
Who said anything about treating people like a baby, where in this thread have you read that? We are talking about being polite, giving some sort of constructive support and not kicking someone when they are down. using your own words, what do we really need then someone like yourself who harshly judges someone in a precarious position without constraint or consideration for the consequences.
I again say, if you are here because you are in debt then who are you to judge? if you are not in debt then why are you here?Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

thanks lnyzpower, but I don't. I think if more people were 'overly harsh' or as I like to call it, realistic, then the level of consumer borrowing would not be at the ridiculous level it is now.
I agree, this woman is clearly in need of help, but like all alcoholics & drug abusers they have to admit to themselves not only that they have a problem but that they are the route of that problem & only they, and no one else, can actually do something about it. I haven't seen any of this at all from the poster. & that is my gripe.0 -
how pathetic do these last posts sound..... i am relatively new to this site but have been struck by the support and compassion shown to others whether the debt is their own making or not. Every one on here is trying to better their lives by trying to cut down on their debts. If you have nothing constuctive or supportive to say and this thread annoys you so much then leave it.Boro Cass

People here need that kind of advice like a hole in the head!! In case you hadnt noticed (which clearly you havent as you just dont get it do you eh VegasKitty) she has taken responsibility and is now trying to sort things out and if all of us got to be so wise as you about 10 years ago we wouldnt be in this position but alas, we're human & we've made a monumental mistake and we'll be paying for it for years to come. We already know that so your "contribution" is about 10 years too late &, as has been said already, more than unwelcome!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! QueenB, maybe i should send all my posts and views via email to you for vetting, as it would seem that your thoughts are the only true and valid ones on this thread.
I personally welcome kittys thoughts and anyone else with thier own individiual out of the box thoughts on these matters.

Hey fishface i bet she did not need any help or advice spending the 140k hey?but whats done is done.
That’s the whole point that i think that a couple of people are trying to make.
I may not agree 100% with the short sharp shock tactic of kitty but i can see where it is coming from.
I believe this idea comes from the USA mainly Californian debt clearing companies , they use this military shock tactics to get people in the right mind set to tackle debt.
Kitty are you a Yank?
relax everybody! Its only money!
140k admittedly , but still only money0 -
